It would be nice if they got rid of the per-territory exclusive license crap but I don't see that happening because media companies love it, no mater how much the public hates it.
If I want to watch BBC stuff in Canada I have to subscribe to BBC Canada, since that's a cable service I also need at least basic cable, a cable box with PVR so I can time shift. Not going to happen so I'll stick with my antenna, and netflix.

The local cable monopoly here (Rogers aka Robers) like to call their service "Digital Quality" then imply that Digital is perfect. Given the choice of keeping the current quality or adding another channel they always go for more channels. A Big sporting event might look like 720p but the less popular stuff looks more like VCD.

You need an Office 365 account for screens bigger then 10.1. Only need a microsoft account for small screens.

I think it's more the carriers then Google. The only upgrade they are interested in are ones that come with a new contract (that is upgrade to a new phone). I have never received an upgrade for any phone I bought from a carrier even when newer phones were being sold with newer software they didn't offer upgrades for the older phones. I had to find a debranding tool so I could install the factory update.
I just hope Google produce another Nexus 4 size phone.

I setup a website for a live performance of band 'owned' by Sony. Sony provided content for the site and approved it before the site went live.
Next day I get Take it down NOW or else notice from a different bunch at Sony. After much forwarding of emails (and an attempt to get our host to take down our page) they agreed I had permission, but said I had to state that there was no way anyone could download any content form our site. I was not going to lie so I said...
"Our website content protection technology is equal to or better then the system used by Sony"
Sony - right click save as. Just like our site.
