A gun you just need to point and pull the trigger and it can kill, even at a considerable distance. That's what it's made to do, it's primary purpose.
No toy comes close (hell power tools don't even come close), toys can kill someone, but it requires real bad luck, or considerable effort. If a couple of kids get hurt with a toy it's likely to be banned right quick (think Lawn Darts for example).
They just sit and hope for the republicans to get back in and have another tax holiday for their rich friends so Apple can bring in the cash tax free.
I would not be surprised to learn that they have come up with a way to borrow in the US and payback overseas with tax free money.

I switched from something like that (A Razor V3 + iPod touch) to a midrange smart phone + tablet (Nexus 4 + Nexus 7).
If the Razor had been G3 and able to tether to the Nexus 7 I might have just dumped the iPood.
I might have gone for an iPad mini if they had come out with one a few years ago instead of talking about sharpening fingers... No interest in any of the current Apple products.

So why should a game maker expect to block or get a cut if I ebay a game, or even give it to a friend?
They made their profit when the game was sold, that's it. Same amount they get if I keep the game.
Of course the hurt feelings police will not give a crap unless you are "important" or know the home number of someone important. The only other time they will take any notice is after it's become a big blowup in the media, and by then it's too late thanks to the media / Streisand effect.
If the post is actually libel then no new law is needed, they already have one.
Because it would be useless? Only people that want to show off their new Land Rover would want to do that.
I also don't want a music service that uses a facebook log-on and posts everything I'm listening to, or a TV that tells everyone what I'm watching.
For me this is all a solution without a problem.
The fact that marketing turds think it's a great idea is another negative in my book.
If we want to make everything a level field maybe they should also make all brick & mortar shops box everything, charge you shipping, and make you wait a few days before you can have your item.
This has nothing to do with levelling the field it's about politicians that want more tax money to play with.

If that were true they would have created tax breaks for doing something that could be considered entrepreneurial. They would not be round about ways of avoiding having your income show up as taxable. It's just the rich don't pay tax.
You are correct that it was "deliberately enshrined" but it has zero to do with encouraging entrepreneurship, unless you define entrepreneurship as having loads of money.

Count from when it was discontinued, not when it was released. Lots of people have one that's less then one year old, you think they will get the next major release? People buying an iPhone 4 now might get one major release.
It's hardly new to Android. I had to use a hack to install the factory code on my old Razor V3. It came with V1.0 + crap and was horrid. No update ever released. Update to 1.3 factory code without crap and it was quite usable.
I now have a Nexus 4 so no Telco crapware, and I get updates. The same can be said for Apple as far as updates go.
I REALLY don't want the telco to "differentiate" my phone by adding crap that sort of works and never gets upgraded after they move on to the next new phone.

It could be + bad management.
Place I worked before we had a marketing goof buy an "opt in email list", then proceed to spam the crap out of people. Said he was not spamming, it was an "email blast". Went to his boss who did the three monkeys routine even when I warned we would be black listed.
Then we got black listed...
Then it was all an unfortunate incident.
Lets look at this example... "I know of two sisters aged 12 and 14 who regularly buy the same music from iTunes."
There is NO DRM on iTunes music. Yet they still bought it anyway. Just copying the file was too much trouble.
The real question is if they removed DRM how many people who buy now would start making copies. How many who copy now to avoid DRM would buy a DRM free file.
I have not seen anything to indicate that removing DRM and offering people an easy way to buy would result in a loss. Looking at the removal or DRM on music downloads I don't see where it crashed the system.
The only place DRM is reasonable is for rental files (it still will not stop people making copies).
That should be Surface/Pro is actually a crap notebook.
Can't use it on your lap or any non-solid surface. Can't change the angle on a desk, and even the very expensive keyboard is not very good.
For less money you can get a nice notebook.
I paid $239 for my Samsung NC10 (came with a keyboard too) why would you want to compare that to something that costs about 4 times as much?
