There is a good reason why people compare Magic Leap to fake blood testing company Theranos - and it’s not because there is no functional product. Magic Leap does have a product, just not a very good one.

Is a more valid comparison the one that mentions WeWork as the base model upsetting apple cart?

Reports that say that something hasn't happened are always interesting to me, because as we know, there are known knowns; there are things we know we know. The DODgy swings and MODified roundabouts of damned lies and monumental deceits are a toxic currency

“When you come to Twitter to see what’s happening in the world, we want you to have context about the content you’re seeing and engaging with,” it announced this week. “Deliberate attempts to mislead or confuse people through manipulated media undermine the integrity of the conversation.”

“That’s why we recently announced our plan to seek public input on a new rule to address synthetic and manipulated media. We’ve called for public feedback previously because we want to ensure that — as an open service — our rules reflect the voice of the people who use Twitter. We think it’s critical to consider global perspectives, as well as make our content moderation decisions easier to understand.”

Here is a flip side of that COIN [COunter INtelligence] ....

It’s an open secret. The deep state is working hand in hand with Silicon Valley social media giants like Twitter, Facebook and Google to control the flow of information. Most recently, it was revealed that Twitter’s senior editorial executive for Europe, the Middle East and Africa is an active officer in the British Army’s 77th Brigade, a unit dedicated to online warfare and psychological operations.

In other words: he specializes in disseminating propaganda.

..... are we expected to ignore and disregard what a machine says in return ....

Intel has a serious monopoly. They are the only manufacturer who provide a product that can be used on the market.

They can stop other manufacturers supplying CPU/GPU/RAM/Motherboard from supplying their products as competition if they so choose.

So, why is AMD so worried about the competition ? Because it could hurt Intel's monopoly position and, as AMD's biggest customer (it has a market capitalization over 2 billion dollars) it could impact sales.

It's a classic monopoly.

I have been a huge AMD fan since the beginning of its existence, but my enthusiasm is waning because I think their strategy is going to backfire, the same way they have backfired in the past. They have to choose between their customers, the customers they were given the chance to keep, or the customers they want to keep and/or the customers they are being offered by the competition. It doesn't seem like they're doing it.

looks like a sector of military secrecy is no more the top cherry on the rock, doc ..... Anonymous Coward

Sure does, AC. Do MODs/DODs know and accept that uncomfortable and inconvenient for them fact? Or are they stuck and struck deaf, dumb and blind in a petrified terrifying denial of new ways of doing all greater things?

Google AI does a Bart with a BERT Eat My Shorts.

What can possibly go wrong .... now that a this can be a that and many other things quite different too if there be a mind to explore the opportunities?

Nice one, Google AI/BERT ...... more reams and realms of information to be processed and squirrelled away whenever extraordinarily rendered or suddenly found to be extremely sensitive and disruptive intelligence.

You do know the true name of the search game is to find all of the information that has been freely shared for global acceptance and concept recognition but which then suddenly may disappear for a while and/or become protected or infected with a Top Secret Non Disclosure Agreement classification?

Such are not ever for sale, but you can always readily purchase their services, AC. It is the particular peculiar nature of that kind of beast/carriage of burden. Bury it in fiat paper and one can just sit back and watch everything grow at a prodigious existential rate into a truly exponential threat.
