I'm running more and more Ubuntu 18 with windows vm's than the other way around. Much more.
Build your house on solid rock or sand? Microsoft says our sand is very 'pure' and rock, well it's 'common'.
The software no one uses is always more secure.
The Wonderful Future Microsoft Has Planned
.....doesn't include efficient, stable, workable solutions for all applications for all users so much as a 12 month subscription for everything and anything and the abuses all monopolies bring.
Use a MAC table of your devices and that will block all others. A little work but worth it.
....but I always rely on a recent backup being ready to 'correct' their 'many' mistakes......
You're indestructible, always believe in 'cause you are Go! Microsoft reinvents netbook with US$399 ‘Surface Go’
What are they going to do with the warehouses full of their old fondleslabs going back to the original?
It's not a defect. We deliberately designed the keyboard to prevent MacBooks from falling into the hands of terrorists......
All staff members who have medical conditions that prevent genuflection please have written proof available upon request.......
Improve On Nature
Um, ah.......Apples have stems. Its difficult to grow one without it. Its where it gets its power from.
Re: Not 'Feudal'
Submission is 'not' fealty. Submission is slavery.
Feudalism can not exist without 'fealty'. From the highest to the lowest their bond was one of shared fealty.
At the turn of the Twentieth Century Norway as a country was dying. So many people were emigrating that the country was almost depopulated. What a lost opportunity. If it weren't for their oil they'd be among the least important, poorest countries in Europe. They'd be back to using reindeer as their primary motive power.
In years to come scientists will discover the cause behind of the Great Meteor that impacted Redmond in 2018 linking Microsoft's defiance of several natural laws as the 'attractor' that guided the gigantic missile to it's target.
Our 'Fitness' Experts Have Given Their Approval
.....I take no solace in this having met some of their 'Fitness Experts' who have spent their entire careers unraveling massive bowls of spaghetti......
Insurance premiums WILL solve the 'dilema' of what to 'do' about self driving cars.
.....another Unicorn extinction event.
Future Conference Check-Ins

Anyone without a valid Windows 10 Product ID will NOT be permitted to attend.
Think of ALL the possible applications for the phrase 'worrying vacuum' ! My first thought being Parliament.......
Ghengis Kahn to the Chinese Once Said...
....you know.....about judging and actions.....and stuff.
Another Glorious Chapter
In the epic Microsoft Develflop series........
Governments declaring people or businesses no longer exist makes me wonder how long before THEY don't 'exist'.
Vizzini here! Have some iocane powder! It'll solve all those enigmatic problems.........
IBM seems to have mimicked the life cycle of the incandescent light bulb and the LED it now is but a shadow of it's former self. Everything it touches dies a slow death.
Would it be wise to permit the ever escalating level of control our technology has achieved? All these articles are but the tip of the iceberg we should be navigating around. Not aiming straight for.
I installed 18.04 but did 'opt out' but mostly from the acquired habit of never agreeing to any data sharing scheme from anyone after all the violations of trust that it won't be used against me.
Six feet high while you're going a 100 perhaps - speed bumps. The Model 3 was seen approaching Mars.
I've been running more and more Linux boxes as Windows replacements. I've spent the last couple of years refining the images, making them as useful and efficient as possible and creating the tutorials and help files for users who never saw a Linux box in their lives. The systems do everything they have to do very well and they ARE more stable and user friendly than Windows. I'm ready, but the users aren't and even with all that, the migration will be complicated......by the users.
Re: It doesn't much matter
"I honestly don’t understand the Windows hate."
Slaves ALWAYS eventually hate their masters.
Free! Free! We're ALL FFFRRREEEEEE!
Of course the Democrats want to make the Net 'neutral' just like they've made gender 'neutral' and it will work out the same way........screwing everyone and everything equally.
How Apple Creates 'Opportunities'
Their hardware products are NEVER defective , their software never insecure, buggy or unstable. All the 'fixes' become part of the marketing plan to create that 'need' that only 'Apple' can meet. I doubt if many if any of the Macbook users will migrate to another platform over a keyboard issue that should never have occurred given the experience and resources of Apple. THERE's the real reason why Apple has become so lax. They think they can never lose......especially their customers once they hook them. I call it expensive junk production for people convinced the label is all that's important.
I can see directing the mail from the Mint but UPS?
A suggestion. Look under all the prayer rugs that will suddenly appear.
IBM'll have to VERY careful with the rectal exams but on the upside it will attract that 'diverse' kind of personnel they're always after.
Mommy Is 'Concerned'
Mommy to Johnny and Jane...."I'm sorry I backed up over you both with the car.....tell me where it hurts".
Microsoft's business management in general reminds me of the game Chutes and Ladders we all played as young children.
Developers? I see more Chutes than Ladders. More than the average for Microsoft's Chute heavy organization.
Re: "We want to do things because they're the right thing to do, not just because we can"
Right. They must 'know' what's 'right' first don't they or do they just assume anything 'they' do is 'right'?
Right. Always right. It must be a comfort.......for as long as it lasts. I remember conversations with Cobol people so many years ago and how 'systems' could never be on anything other than a mainframe. They were 'right' right?
IBM does a better job of claiming to be always 'right' than Microsoft. They've indoctrinated their people better.
One Word Response
.....and it's usually caused by a total disconnect with reality........
Re: Useless Apple
....the chimpanzes they use to test have a much lighter touch I guess.
....I was seriously thinking about replacing my two older MacBooks.
How do you spell that? EnemaData? For the fast flow of information they provide?
My Microsoft Upgrade Song
It puts me in the 'proper' frame of mind and introduces a note of whimsy that the unexpected 'changes' engenders.

The Operative Adjective Is Censor
'Cloud Computing' has become 'Censored Cloud Computing'.........comrades.
Oh dear? You mean there's MORE than one kind of serial rapist?
Technology as the Promoter of Gibberish.
It took skill and effort to produce a 15th Century book unlike a Zuckerberg creating Facebook.
Bill Gates as Noah
...and he imagines God has ordered him to build Windows to carry everything to safety ......or something. Since he originally designed his 'ark' the superstructure has grown exponentially while the hull has long since lost the ability to sustain it as demonstrated by the many capsizing the 'design' has experienced.
Giant bowls of spaghetti make for poor foundations.
Deny History? Again?
That EU ruling that prohibited MS from selling an OS with a browser that could NOT be removed without breaking the system is no longer in force?
Been Watching Too Many Nazi Zombie Movies?
Strap that thing to a gurney and get it up on the roof. I hear a violent thunderstorm coming.
That they should only be used to call the faithful to prayer three times a day?

Woe Canada: Rather than rise from the ashes, IBM-built C$1bn Phoenix payroll system is going down in flames
It's An Old Story
.....I think Cyrus the Great conquered the Assyrian Empire after his Persians got the contract to 'modernize' the payroll system.
