Poor Communication

I maintain a couple of dozen PCs and I was seeing out of memory errors on high end machines with loads of RAM. I tried to research and fix and found.........very little or no info or any use. I've come to rely on them as part of our overall security strategy and this incident did much to destroy Malwarebytes goodwill.

Linux

Almost There

I've installed 17.10 on several desktops and a couple of laptops for testing but, as far as I'm concerned, it's not ready for production just yet. A major problem is that it breaks VMware and I haven't found a truly working fix for that. A major application for many working in development who need to port their projects to various OSs.

The Message

While I don't think the lawsuit will go anywhere (after agreeing to the 10 page mind numbing user agreement) it sends the right kind of message to Apple customers to be wary of the hype and glitz Apple presents the world. Apple's very well known for it's orchestrated product obsolesence rendering still functional, working products useless.

Culling the 'Herd'

When I raised tropical fish if I didn't like the results I'd flush them away. That sounds like an excellent qualification for a senior position at IBM don't you think?

I Have To Laugh

Thinking that Apple is going to accomodate their customers and listen to their commons sense requests. I picture the Grand High Poobah reclining on his royal couch attended by dozens of servants while the major domo quietly coughs into his fist and requests a few seconds of the Master of the Universe's attention igniting hysterical laughter. His response? I think I'll raise the price! Yes! Significantly!

Re: I just replaced the HDD in my laptop with...

I've set up hundreds of laptops over the last couple of years and the best compromise for speed/capacity have been hybrid drives. For the last two years for those people who require considerable amounts of data, like muscians, performers, legal, scientific a 1TB is usually sufficient. Of course the more data the larger the backup and the longer the time required to protect your data.
