Some of us like the console games. Some of us like slobbing out on the settee. After spending all day coding getting away from a PC is nice.

If this means we will be getting more games servers I do not mind, PSN+ free games are worth it, I joined to get a few just over a month ago. (ICO & LBP Karting)

I told my wife I had joined PS+.

Then she saw the free games, asled how much and was gobsmacked at £4 a month.

However Naughty Dog must be worth 3 or 4 of any others.

That is because MS is more a software company (but their KB and mice were good), however it is designed to be quiet.

Sony are more a hardware company so know what they are doing hardware wise.

Move is pretty effective, much better for shooters as well. Compare the main PS3 shooters such as Killzone 3 or Portal 2 with say Blackwater.

Why would I want Kinnect?

Still prefer the name Project Natal as I prefered Nintendo Revolution.

PS4 is better value as it is a bit more powerful and £80 less

XR Fords - I remember them well, commonly seen in rear view mirrors.

Boy racers, nothing like deflating a couple revving at traffic lights, riding between them, and beating both of them, on a 250!. However a Cossie Sierra took a 600 to leave it behind.

XR3is seemed to crop up everywhere, often picking on smaller Rootes Group cars, lets just say the old high compression Avenger 1600 engine is very pokey, and please check the Sunbeam engine options.

Had a draw in a TLGP against a 2.0 Capri while driving an Avenger estate! (I knew them)

Even my mum in a Reliant 3 wheeler had a XR3 try it one once.

See my other posts, removing the crap gives you a lot more sensible sites to view, foreign sites are pretty good and blogs reveal more about politics than any paper.

Anyway compare Guardian and Telegraph, different view points but not junk papers.

There are always people who want the latest format, film fans will be quite likely to want to go 4K.

Everyone assumes that what they want everyone wants, someone who pays a few thousand for a prohector will no baulk at buying a 4K optical disc player.

Some people like expensive cars, some like expensive furniture, some like top end AV kit.

There are a lot of really good games and space used doesn't really come into it.

Short but very good, Journey

Long, hard and very well executed, The Last of Us

Lots of shorter games are more about the multiplayer than the single player

This generation we have been careful to buy decent games rather than cheap games.

We look after our discs.

But you have admitted the big failing of Toshibas format, lack of capacity.

As to loading, never seen one take more than a few seconds.

Best thing about HD-DVD is that they were easier to rip so they could be torrented and then watched on the most popular Blu Ray player.

That is how we got around lack of Blu Ray releases from certain studios.

BD can handle all the same codecs as HDDVD, just that it can hold more data, which with a longer film is very important.

Being able to support MPEG2 1440x1080/50i to me is very important.
