All these proper cars, hmmm
About 20 years ago I ran a 1600 Sunbeam for 5 years, it was a great car and as something broke I repalced it with rally car bits. rally springs, exhaust ect.
I used to pick on the current hot hatches and win (XR3is ect).
The big engined small Vauxhalls were similarly fun
Easy to do.
Lets use GCHQ as an example.
Been there know what they are about. I knew quite a few workers and ex workers. One of my best friends worked there, they know who I am as a real person, I am not a risk, (he had been reported due to a prank and I was mentioned, demonstarting his electronics skills). Lets just say I have a video tape of me standing on a gate holding a TV aerial pointing at my home, and the tape never left my home.
Now at work we recently took on a Pakastani chap, he knows a few dodgyish people just by being from there.
Now would that be considered a risk?
Here no - none whatsoever.
Elsewhere?
I would pick up a cheap 360 and play the 6 or so exclusives I would not mind trying.
My wife likes the look of Trials Evolution.
I want to try the shooters - basically run through the SPs, not paying for MP.
Ummmm
That's it.
Everything else I am interested in is multiplatform or PS exclusive.
Never been a Mario fan - prefered Asteroids and Space Invaders to Donkey Kong. Prefered Sonic in MD days.
First games of this ending generation to get me was Assassins Creed, then Uncharted Drakes Fortune.
PS3 online gaming.
No most is still peer to peer. Servers cost money, PSN being free meant no dedicated servers.
You still get lag killed and you still get the occasional I am a killing machine and not dieing.
I have tried 5 shooters to a reasonable amount and all are peer to peer, including some of the biggest names.
I am being sort of willingly forced into PS4 as otherwise I will get wiped out if I leave it too long. My friends are very excited and all have preorders in. Launch one game is priority.
The weekend of 30th November & 1st December will be spent on Vekta.
Non CD-DA = nightmare
My previous DVD player worked well with CD-DA but I got fed up with exchanging non playing CDs, I think I had three copies of one CD (to be returned to supplier), eventually found out - non CD-DA due to some data CD nonsense.
At least I cost them a few copies!
I tended to end up with TDK when I had money otherwise whatever I could find cheap, but TDK were good.
Video tapes, nothing bettered the Sony ProX tapes, strong plastic cases, snazzy shells, great tape formulation, still work well today, played back on the same portable, pity they topped out at L500
