It's not just Universities that are affected. Some local PSNs use Janet so many schools and other public services could also be affected.

I don't think there are strict minimum requirements for Android versions, but Google does have very strict requirements to be allowed access to the Market.

I never had a PSP, but I thought Sony touted the PSP as having this feature? Or was this another feature Sony got rid of?

Not bad, but could do better.

I am in the closed beta at the moment and it is not quite what I was hoping. Working in a school and seeing scratch being used by students all the time, I don't think App Inventor is quite there yet. I am giving it an open mind as it is still in beta. However knowing Google, will stay there for a long time to come.

Bought my Desire from Carphone Warehouse back on launch day, and it was an unlocked one with the HTC original firmware on it, on a Vodafone contract. Also got my FroYo upgrade on Sunday.

Guessing it is easier for CPW not to have handsets tied to individual carriers.

I work in IT at a school and scratch is a fantastic tool to teach younger kids the basics of programming, this will only increase the interest of programming from a young age,obviously a good thing.

But do we really want another 10,000 fart apps diluting the Market?

We have a websense box here and we have had to specifically block bing as at the moment we cannot force the students onto a safe search. They go to a video search and they are served up all sorts of smut!

Is it a coincidence that this has never happened before and the many sattelites up there, and only last week an Iranian Sattelite was launched into orbit?

Maybe me, just being cynical!
