Can't speak of cockroaches
But guinea-fowl are down right delicious! Pass the (muscovy) duck sauce, please. So, how long will it take to roast a robot, or is that the other way round?

All of this time business is arbitrary claptrap shoved down our throat by "the man" in a grand Pavlovian experiment. The next thing you know he'll be pulling our strings to trick us into getting up an hour earlier to "save daylight" during a time of year when the bloody sun is only down for a few hours! Another tug and we sleep in so our commute both ways is in the dark, phantoms of the night we'll be! Screw this, tomorrow is the 11th of Unember and the decade ended a week ago at 8:64 on the 37th of Decuary.
The next question is, will the footage be archived and available to citizens who wish to police the police as well as those who want to file a complaint? I can see the cops saving reams of "harmless" data that can be used as evidence that cops are just and to defend against a bad claim but what about the potentially damaging evidence? Will that be saved or "misplaced" behind the blue wall as usual?
Labor for the U.S. rail system came largely from two groups, Irish vets from the Am. Civil War and Chinese immigrants. Remember the timing, late 1800's designed to move soldiers and gold. The main improvement since then has been from coal fired steam engines to diesel-electric... track maintenance? We've heard of it.
ogle phone invitations keep the evil people out of the club. Not that I think Bill, his brother Steve or his other brother Steve have goophones on their x-mas lists. I'm pretty sure I'm evil too, even though some of my mutual funds have goog in the portfolio, or just not "cool" enough, needless to say I won't be getting an invite either.
They could simply build a small transmitter into each power transformer along the roadway, but then it might be easier to just finish the job and run the last 5 meters of cable right to the house. I don't think I'll be looking forward to broadcast TV as clear and reliable as mobile coverage currently is. Then again, if CTIA can con the FCC into pushing its infrastructure costs on to TV operators, perhaps mobile coverage would improve. No really, I wrote that with a straight face... mostly.
TV 2-dot-0x7DA is also made of badger's paws.
Oh yeah, we in the U.S. will be stuck with the obligatory 5 (50?) year @T&T notwork lock in, no running of "unapproved" code, and a monthly subscription rate that makes Steve's annual taxes look like chump change. My guess, for those in other parts of the world is that you'll be able to replace "@T&T" with the network operator of Steve's choice in your home country... eventually.
She probably did the best thing possible given the sad nanny state of affairs. Just try disciplining a kid these days and see how long it takes to get through the "child abuse" investigation, court proceedings, and god knows what. Regardless of the outcome, try getting a job afterward because once the jury of public opinion weighs in, you're screwed. Remember the court doesn't find someone "innocent" in the U.S. only that there is reasonable doubt of one's guilt.
The fail goes to a system that leaves parents few if any alternatives, not the parent.
Yes, yes Professor. I'm sure the wings, while not able to give flight, are there as a symbol of virility to members of the opposite sex. Exactly, it's a peacock thing. It's like saying, "come breed with me, I have big... wings! And while angels may or may not have a pea-cock it's immaterial since their sexual organs are located between the third and fourth tier of intercoursal feathers on the back of each wing.
And he claims to be a biologist even without the most basic knowledge of puttine anatomy, bah! Now on to more serious matters like "the transport and fate of faecal matter impacting an axial flow cooling turbine."
"Do no evil, pay no tax"
This is only one more bit of proof of what every taxpayer already knows. Taxes are evil. Those who make their living coming up with new and ingenious ways to raise, levy and spend taxes (pols and the like) are evil. Those who vote for pols are either ignorant, receiving the tax money spent or trying to make the best of a bad situation, while not necessarily evil, aren't helping.
I already know I'm evil, but joke 'em if they can't take a fsck.
"The DoJ could not immediately be reached for comment at time of writing."
Of course not, they're too busy tossing one off to pictures of, 'what is that? a vagenis, penina? Damn, we need better pix, somebody call darpa! We don't know if this is an inny, an outie or a roast beef on rye.'
It seems there is a consensus among the posters that this is something other than a minor slip in wording. I prefer to give the beneficent overlords some modicum of credit and in invoking Hanlon's razor I shall "never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity." Of course this raises another issue in that it doesn't matter if they are incompetent or evil inasmuch as they still have the keys and are in the driving seat.
It becomes obvious that federal [insert topic here] policy is arse backward and reflects only the silly opinions of a few megalomaniacal busybodies and lacks real information and hard data. What next, will we learn that "gateway drugs" aren't real but "gateway suppliers" are? Stay tuned for the next episode of "No shit, Sherlock."
He won't mind when there are recording devices everywhere he goes then. Including a few in the board room, his car and, just for good measure, one shoved so far up his arse his voice will be clear as crystal to capture all he says. Not that anyone is really interested in hearing anything he has to say.
So Eric, can we look forward to transcripts of all internal Google workings? Especially those juicy bits from around the kool-ade cooler.
Thumbs up for installing Eric's bug and there isn't a Goog Goon with horns icon.
Billions to keep CIT Group, GM and Chrysler out of bankruptcy. Now unemployment breaks over 10%. Yeah, this is going well. Then again, what did we expect when 2009 problems are met with 1929-1939 solutions that didn't work then. Hey, the civil engineers and ditch diggers are working overtime so it must be... something.
"... iPhone users consider themselves to be extrovert intellectuals who know a lot about the media but find a lack of high-tech gadgets to be a turn off."
The Jobsian Reality Distortion Field™ has been turned to 11. Longing to be the "cool kid" on the block and playing, by yourself, with electronic toys while among a group of people is not exactly the standard textbook definition of extrovert. I suppose if "the media" is limited to Apple press releases then they can probably be qualified as experts. Yes, yes, iFolks, you are all very special and unique, just like everybody else.
Pocket protector out of style? There's an iPhone for that.
Agencies reporting gross numbers show demonstrable lack of understanding in statistics. The question of any increase in the number of hot tubs in private hands remains unanswered as it would likely show the _rate_ of injury attributable to hot tubs has actually decreased. Also amazing, yet unlikely to garner attention grabbing headlines, is the staggering increase in the number of injuries related to half witted studies on injuries.
If it's anything like their last wireless mouse, there won't be enough batteries in any given building to feed it for more than a few weeks. I was running NiMH batteries with a backup pair in a charger on my desktop just to keep up with it. That said, I'm actually surprised Apple didn't include some sort of a "mouse hole" charger and an irreplaceable battery for a cool [£,$,€]159.
Fail because it just feels right.
I'd wager an alternative to more spectrum would be providers who actually give a shit about service. A little mobility between mobile service providers would go a long way to fixing the problem. Screw that must use provider "A" to have phone "B" shit.
Still waiting for the commodification of wireless spectrum. I know, it's going to be a long wait but I really don't see anything compelling coming down the pike.
Does it matter? Here in the U.S. you decide who to give your money to but the gubbermint decides you are wrong and takes your money to give to their own friends. It doesn't matter who wins the election unless your name is Halliburton, AIG or UAW, then it determines how much of other people's money you get.
If you fail to be too big to fail, it doesn't make any difference what your brain does. You lose either way.
Just a guess but I'd wager the iPods all use common chips for the best pricing. Now, seeing that the nano has FM with time shifting, it only makes sense that other models would have the same part inside, if it's currently used is another matter. I'm certain if we wait long enough and if cult members cry for it, we'll see the iPods getting all the same features bit by bit.
The only question left begging is did they ask RIAA when they put in the time-shift bit?
