I don't know if it will work as there isn't much of an imperative for the computer to recognize faces and read body language. It may be those things are hard wired from birth. It's to the benefit of a cat, or person for that matter, to know the difference between a vicious dog and a kind person or read a single face for anger or happiness. I just don't know what's in it for a metal box. Really, what can happen, it gets shut off?

Offensive apps

Apple doesn't ban offensive apps. How else can one explain iTunes? I know plenty of people who are offended by some of the music and movies sold there. Personally, I'd say don't buy it if you're offended, but I guess there is a reason they call it a double standard.

Perhaps they could get their respective heads out of their collective arses and realize that the internet is one case where convenience to the consumer doesn't equate to a higher price. That is partly because the convenience to the producer is far greater and cuts out more middlemen... rather it would be if they could solve their cranio-rectal disease.

You see the whole point of going downtown is to be with people, queuing up would seem to accomplish that. Personally, I don't see how standing about among a bunch of people you don't know with the ultimate goal of buying a whatsit thistime magically makes loneliness go away especially when it's a device to assist in melting away the rest of reality, but there you go. On the other hand if you're an impatient antisocial freak trying to avoid the throng you can hit the mall and be fishing by noon... who knew.

In the future, when answering a security question such as "What is your mother's maiden name?" Lie. It's ok, it really is. Why? Well, if you put Dunham, it isn't really that secure now is it? How did I know that? It's easy, there is this thing called Google and while nobody really knows how it works, it finds all kinds of things like that. No, you shouldn't worry about it, you have more pressing things such as how to maintain a Democrat majority after that whole health care fiasco. Yes, it really was and your opponents are screaming on the outside but have that smug joyous inner smile. Acutely obtuse

I'm so glad they got the acronym straightened out. "Almost Native Graphics Layer Engine - ANGLE" is much better than the earlier name which was a no go, Native Operations for Graphical Output.

Still not clear

So I find myself in a bad neighborhood of a strange city in a foreign land and three blokes come up to me saying "lets bump". Naturally, I expect they want to lend me a fiver but will I get a good exchange rate on the money?

Insulting?

My grandmother is a strict Irish Catholic and frankly the most insulting thing to her on St. Paddy's is the whole green beer thing. As she nears 100, she barely recognizes anyone but she knows her ale and it isn't supposed to be green, bless her.

Splendid solution

Why didn't we think of this before? If global warming is caused by the greenhouse effect it seems the easiest solution is simply "turn out the light". No sun, no light, no greenhouse effect and no global warming... perfect!

Sad but true
