Krakoom! OCZ flies into the ground. Time to salvage the engines and look around

Zmodem

on OEM drive on the bottom side, there will be a inch or 2 of the PCB showing like this, on retail drive it will be all covered in a back plate and they all fail because they over heat

Zmodem

i said a desert eagle is more convient then a shotgun, a shotgun is your only main weapon, if your not a 16 year old, a desert eagle is alot better then your shotgun, and your platoons should have the choice which they take

every shop is full of seagate barracuda`s, everyone buys them, even PC world will stock OEM`s in todays world

Zmodem

try looking at the label

Zmodem

retail HDD`s have the back plate on, and hides the PCB, all retail drives are rubbish because they overheat, its probably rare for any make drive to last a whole year, western digital drives suck

OEM drives without the back plates will go for 10 years for more

seagate barracuda`s have a backup bootsector but no tool to know if the main sector has failed

Zmodem

most people buy OCZ because the name sounds good and makes the custom PC have some respekt

WD retail hdd break every month or 2, so everyone buys seagates

4G networks are BIG TIME SUCK for us videogame-obsessed Brits

Zmodem

i plug my 3g phone into my PC and have been using web n walk for my only home connection on my for 7 years, downloading ISO`s and updating windows and doing everything else

all good, USB, or bluetooth modem in your pocket instead of wifi hotspots

Re: And once again

you would just have more of these type of photos

you just set your telescope to take 4 snapshots of a star everyday, if something is in orbit, it would probably be in one of the photos

Zmodem

Re: And once again

http://kepler.nasa.gov/

when an object passes infront of a star, the light blinks, if it happens twice, there is something in orbit

working the heliospheric lmager into long distant photos, an orbitting object could be in any position given the fact hubble can take a photo of a star 16 million light years away with a 6 month exposure time

Zmodem

Re: @ Zmodem

I was on the lines of putting the imager on hubble or ground telescopes, then you could take snapshots of a system star and maybe having more chance of spotting orbitting planets

Zmodem

nasa should work their Heliospheric Imager to find other planets if it lights them up like a star, instead of having to wait a whole orbit for a blink of the system star

Re: NOT BUYING IT.

they are all just frameworks with sdk object class written in pure c++

using visual c, its fast on windows and linux, you can import .dll and other c++ downloadable classes etc

Zmodem

Re: NOT BUYING IT.

.NET came along

visual c/c++ wont have a executable filesize of 2mb for nothing more then a message box popup or take 10 mins to load

.NET is the crapest code that exists

XBOX ONE and PS4, you'll make us RUN OUT of INTERNET

Zmodem

the ocean pipes are owned by private companies and part of the broadband wholesale price, all telecoms will route their traffic as best as they can without using the pipes

first the cables were for telegrams, in todays world they are fibre

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Submarine_communications_cable

Zmodem

its why people use ip2country and redirect your download to your own countries download mirror location

your download is not using the ocean pipes for no reason

Zmodem

Re: Sizes

games in shops for the PS4 and xbox, will have a download filesize of upto 40gb, like a bluray ISO, the file sizes of all textures, models, etc etc etc are all bigger and make the better graphics

COD ghosts is 30gb download, games wont be your 1.4 gb anymore like on old conoles

Zmodem

if there is 50 million people online all downloading 40gb for 30 hours, and all other traffic, the ocean pipes would probably become congested then packet scheduling kicks in, and every other website timesout in your browser

Zmodem

Re: Sizes

but games next gen consoles will have in their shops will have a download size of upto 40gb, they all bigger textures, more maps, more audio, more polygons on models just like modern PC games

most people are to retarded to just buy it in a shop on a bluray disc

Zmodem

Re: So they are useless then?

the world is connected by gigabit fibre pipes under the ocean, and most companies do not have country download location mirrors that work like gamershell

Zmodem

you have steam and other shops, where you have to download 40gb instead of a bluray disc game, and steam is reaching out to linux, and you have next gen game shops

youtube flix are 20mb flv files

Can't wait for 4G? Take heart, 5G is on the way

Zmodem

Re: Needs to be world-wide agreement on bands, not a little-England solution

what they should have done, is set freesat as standard instead of making everyone buy new freeview arials, when freesat box and satelite costs the same, even if all freeview channels are not on freesat, but that is just quest and really for the paranormal activity

Zmodem

ofcom chats the same ass every few months, and there will just be another 1000 comments saying it wont happen, freeview is all you can watch 24/7, and no ISP will every let you leave your tv watch HD and 3d movies 24/7 365 without charging your £30,000 a month instead of the already worthless £14 you have to pay for the bbc

Winamp is still a thing? NOPE: It'll be silenced forever in December

Zmodem

Re: Milk Drop dropped?

in 10 years, all RCA leads will be replaced with micro USB and DAC on hifi`s, studio hardware, your TV/boxes to AV amp, and everything else in between

Zmodem

Re: M$ might take it

$20 a year, for 1 server and 4 relays and a mp3 key, is`nt much when you can charge people $100 for a automated jungle advert in shoutcast 2

Zmodem

Re: M$ might take it

microsoft are too retarded, and nobody will ever switch or update current shoutcast servers to some middleclass puppy dog only half works streaming service

a mans street cred will be gone for good on all dance radio stations, and microsoft will add a auto bleeper

Zmodem

Re: Broadcast Use

you need deckadance, and just make a automix playlist

http://www.image-line.com/documents/deckadance.html

if your not running deckadance as a standalone app, but as a VSTi in FL Studio, you will need radio caster to catch what you hear and send it to a shoutcast server, the winamp DSP only has linein and is slow

http://www.djsoft.net/enu/radiocaster_details.htm

if your hard, you can plug in a dj controller, and control deckadance thru midi

http://www.vestax.com/v/products/detail.php?cate_id=186

Zmodem

Re: Milk Drop dropped?

optical sends a signal and nothing else, RCA leads cannot handle all frequencies and need more wire strands and AWGs for different speakers, and hardware to amps and will loose frequencies along the cable depending on how long the cable is

DAC transfters the stream packets as it is from the original source, and will never change until it reaches your speakers

first comes studio hardware, and audiophilie seperate hifi`s, then all other domestic hardware that catches on to the way it will be

Zmodem

Re: Milk Drop dropped?

give it 10 years and RCA leads will be fully replaced on all hardware with micro usb and just transfer the audio stream as is

Zmodem

Re: Milk Drop dropped?

the modern world uses usb DAC for digital audio connection

if your card doesnt have a dac, you need a external usb hub

Zmodem

xmplay, its light weight, has proper custom shape skins and can use winamp plugins

kjofol still exists, the r0n coder, stopped work on kjofol and added custom shaped skins to winamp

Zmodem

Re: Won't you please think about the Androids?

you can listen to shoutcast streams in any player, if it does'nt support .pls, change the extension to txt and open the url inside

Zmodem

Re: What about shoutcast????

shoutcast will, there just wont be a central directory, not using the directory makes your station upper class and more professional, then you just goto the server address in your browser and find out their scum

google will probably buy shoutcast and take on macro flash and MS silver whatevers, and bring back shoutcast tv for youtube

Zmodem

the whole of nullsoft left the company when AOL brought it, and forced the corporate office and ties, nullsoft has had 3 people there for 10 years just tweaking a few bugs and the janitor

shoutcast will rule forever, and laugh at all other streaming services, the source will probably be leaked, so everyone can carry on streaming MP3, over the automated transcoder without needing a licence

shoutcast 2, you can infinate relays and nodes from a single source server and used in all university radio`s and dance music and a million other things

Re: A 1.3 GB download

you download at 400-500 kbs most of the day on your cell phone, at 3 am, it can go upto 700 and be using the 3g 7.2 or 8 mbs connection at full in the uk

if you are over your bandwidth limit you will have 20kbs most of the evening

kbs is actual download speed that is being displayed on your download box, not the connection speed

i dont do the KBs kBs

Zmodem

Re: I think you confuse ....

forza 5 stepped up and has it, because they need to because need for speed uses the battlefield 3 engine, and was able to

forza 5 looks good enough on the xbox 360, the only real reason to get a next gen console, is for bigger and better looking maps

Zmodem

Re: A 1.3 GB download

1.3gb takes 1 hour 20 mins, on tmobile 3g when its running at 600kbs

Zmodem

Re: I think you confuse ....

still using CGI, is a sign of bad graphics and they are not upto standard, or a slow FPS engine, or both

Zmodem

Re: I think you confuse ....

TV adverts to advertise games are using 1990s CGI for its animation and at the bottom of the screen in small text, it will say "not actual gameplay footage", because it is all rendered in lightwave or maya etc

any game advert on a PS4 or xbox one, should be made using machinima, then they can have "actual gameplay footage" at the bottom

Zmodem

Re: I think you confuse ....

but in the world of PC games, movies are just maps you play with a dedicated script to that is running animation

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oLg3oNC35K0

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dO2rM-l-vdQ

Zmodem

the article title is all you need to read, along with all the tv adverts for its games still not using actual gamplay graphics or footage, and still with all the CGI rubbish

It's the games, STUPID: Sony makes 'about $18' on each PlayStation 4

Zmodem

Re: The problem is

but in hong kong or china in their currency, and buying materials and paying for labour, $0.30 is $20

Zmodem

Re: The problem is

FX are better and faster and has more on chip controllers etc etc etc

after currency exchance and cheap labour, AMD probably make $1 on every chip, while they sell for $0.30 OEM

Zmodem

its obvious rubbish, AMD FX 8 cores are $50 on alibaba when ordering 5, not in a 1 million bulk buy, they would cost a random $0.30

Re: Where

if you look hard enough you will probably find a photo of a lab taking boards out a freezer when building satelites

Zmodem

Re: Where

you put the console in your fridge and let the PCB get cold, and the cold is "suppose" remove all the static, and there is alot less chance of a chip blowing when you first turn the power on

most people do not have frost free freezers, and would just replace static with condensation or a full water drop
