I think I'm a clone now: Chinese AMD Epyc-like server chips appear in China. What gives?

Zmodem

you forgot the whole monopoly thing... AMD owning 51% of a company won't make them any real money, but a licence for designs will

yes

cross platform, cross server, just copy the files and data to migrate, the security is second to none, and run as many CMS's as you like on a server, in sub folders, and sub folders

Your F-35s need spare bits? Computer says we'll have you sorted in... a couple of years

Zmodem

its a classified top secret secret which is let out in aload of 1990s UFO documentaries that are made in britian with people from the MoD and military knowing exactly how the TR-3B works and everyone saying its american

if america had true anti gravity and pulse propulsion and a dark space program and everyone likes to dream of, a railgun would have been easy

Re: Zmodem mentioned, "BAE"

its gets boring with american's talking about skunkworks, when lockheed were all british scientists and now they are MiT students

0
0
Zmodem

its like railguns, america could'nt work out how to make so BAE Systems knocked one up

2
0
Zmodem

the f35 is rubbish, BAE Systems exists so britain can be independant, because america stole the TR-3B research during the lockheed martin merger and it was all tits and tantrums so the MoD setup BAE Systems for classified research,

britian has "100" typhoons before the MoD stopped saying how many they really have, and does'nt care for stealth and only needs the f35b to replace the harrier for basic patrol operations, the stealth typhoon has been in the making for years with the taranis stealth drone being the stepping stone

1
3
Zmodem

if you watch some documentaries, other countries being able to upgrade it without the need for BAE System's is part of the design, and the eurofighter just uses standard universal molex ribbons for most of it

plug and play on a eurofighter

4
0
Zmodem

everything is expected to last 30 years before new is brought again

if you want an upgradable plane, you buy the eurofighter and easily fit it out with all your custom classified hardware and turn it into the RAF typhoon which can take down a lockheed raptor in a dog fight

the only thing that is the same on the eurofighter and the RAF typhoon, are the physic's of the flyby wire system and the design

Zmodem

you don't need to build one, a metal part would probably needs replacing once a year, which you can just make in 2 hours on a 3d printer

better if the planes are going to be in a classified location on a air craft carrier

0
0
Zmodem

just laser scan them all, and buy a metal 3d printer, BAE probably has some star trek classified metals to use

EmDrive? More like BS drive: Physics-defying space engine flunks out

Zmodem

Re: I want to believe.

why, its rubbish, for the amount of power and size of them and the tiny bit of thrust they give, its better to just have a full electro magnet and a transformer giving you 10,000x more thrust with the same power, and weighing less, and only 8 inches square

Re: The "impossible" drive clearly works. Now they need to hide it...

i dont care for america or governments so i spam the world with mine and anyone can make one, you will just need a marine fishing boat generator for the upto 8000kW and a 1000 KM range, for space planes for uk's space plane ports in 10 years

the world is so spammed with the basic's nobody can put a patent on it

0
0
Zmodem

Re: So tempting

all solved if you use mine, it only needs electric to power the magnets, and will work anywhere in the universe as long as the repelling force has more gauss then the gravity your craft is in, and the force travel's with you as you use the repelling magnetic force from a ring

if you have the power source to replace a jet engine, you can easily fly from heathrow to the outter reaches of the solar system in 16 hours if your hull can handle 256 million MPH and being accelerated to it within 0.2 seconds

Re: 'Ye cannae break the laws of physics!'

the drive is'nt breaking the laws of physic's, its a random chance drive, with microwaves boucing around and the electron creating a tiny bit of thrust when they hit each other

1

Zmodem

a piece of A4 paper Vs a whole 1 ton pallet for 18kW

its a rubbish drive anyway and not worth a god damn thing

my em drive is alot better and can replace jet engines https://forums.theregister.co.uk/forum/containing/3245239

its as simple as https://youtu.be/6gszIwmpsO0?t=56s if you have a fixed ring, and find the correct distance for a fix ring to be at

1.5m Brits pay too much for mobile and crappy broadband – Ofcom

Zmodem

tell that to EE and crappy tmobile who removed data pack topups without telling anyone and now its £1 day unlimited data which never works and you end up on edge, and can't download anything through your browser when tethered, can't do much, they have employed some sad old engineer from BT who is still living in the year 2000

can't make the telecom's the same, that is breaking the monopoly rules of the merger

BT to slash landline rentals by 37%... for the broadbandless

Zmodem

Re: This is a real mess Ofcom. Ofcom you've been duped.

should'nt worry, openreach can offer lines only for broadband and have no need for a useless home phones

if you register on talktalk and plusnet and skip BT

0
0
Zmodem

its fake, and only to get the other half of the country BT won't give a land line back to, because its the first bill you won't pay when you get sacked from your job, gets a land line

its not even half on the OFCOM stats, because the 46% is for BT and cable, everyone elses dongles and t-mobile

just get zbrush, and scribble on the real dimensions in MS paint, and it might not take 20 years to design anything new, artist can just quickly draw a 3d model on screen in 10 minutes and have a new concept design

my EM Drive will blast a craft off at 256 million MPH in 0.5 seconds, if you base the spec's and repelling forces on BAE Systems railgun, and just multiply them by 1000, you have a 100 ton shuttle

256 million MPH is as fast and human tech can go, or the craft will out run, radar signals for navigation systems etc

the basis' of everything for the MoD's black project of skylon 8 is in https://forums.theregister.co.uk/forum/2/2017/07/27/nasa_lights_bloody_big_rocket_that_doesnt_go_anywhere/#c_3245239

UK.gov: Psst. Belgium. Buy these Typhoon fighter jets from us, will you?

Zmodem

the typhoon is what every other countries eurofighter could be, if they have spent a few trillion pound of classified research since the 1980s when they setup BAE Systems todo the classified research, so america could'nt steal anymore like they did with the TR-3B during the lockheed martin merger

as far as i know, from documentaries, all the sockets and plugs on a eurofighter are bulk standard molex and PCB connections, nothing special, so everything can easily be upgraded without needing BAE Systems, otherwise the hardware would'nt be classified

0
0
Zmodem

the absolute top speed of the typhoon is 2100mph. which is when the wings will fall off, the realistic top speed is 1800mph, super cruise speed is classified

it has the radar cross section of a fridge

its the worlds best strike fighter, and nothing will stand in its way if 500 came your way, even if the eurofighter is'nt a real typhoon with the MoD's rolls royce engine

the whole of america's airforce would be wiped out in 2 or 3 days, and they will be left with only laser air defense cannons

0
0
Zmodem

the j20 would be destroyed by the typhoon, its full of MoD's classified hardware that can bring down the raptor in a dogfight, while the eurofighter is the basic plane for other government to upgrade with their own custom classified hardware if they have any

the only thing a eurofighter has in common with a typhoon is the physic's it uses to fly with the flyby wire system

0
0
Zmodem

the f-35 is'nt a strike and dogfighting plane, its a patrol plane for basic low risk operations

https://youtu.be/z0Asf_1WDss?t=1m36s

american's have to make their own, not steal everything like the TR-3B propulsion during the lockheed martin merger

0
0
Zmodem

MoD does'nt pay for everything BAE System's do, BAE System's is a company with investors, the is the secret underground city of salisbury plain, where all the classfied MoD side of BAE System's work which is why the wiltshire is the UFO hotspot of the uk, which work like 2 seperate companies

all the classified materials the MoD pay's for, will only be used on the british military vehicles, like the shielding on challenger 2 tank, and target tracking system, and all other system's with makes the typhoon a typhoon and not a eurofighter

0
3
Zmodem

the typhoon is still the best jet fighter in the world, which is why is can easily beat the lockheed raptor in a dog fight without the typhoon being stealth

BBC Telly Tax petition given new Parliament debate date

Zmodem

Re: If you have issues with the Telly Tax...

"I find it bizarre that people are willing to pay Sky a minimum of £25 a month (and still have to watch adverts) yet complain about paying the BBC less than half that."

SKY has stuff to watch after spending £1bn a year, with sky atlantic etc

BBC has £4.3bn and has nothing to watch, which is better off being spent in the shops, and fixing the NHS

Re: If you have issues with the Telly Tax...

Re: If you have issues with the Telly Tax...

no chance of me ever watching the BBC, its for brain dead people, every program is mundane, if they have anything intelligent on it, its all dumbed down for 11 year olds who watch eastenders to understand it, i have'nt watched nothing on the BBC for 20 years, and it is all deleted off of my freeview channel list

should'nt need to pay for something you care nothing about

Re: even if the price is possible - how much fuel would this lot need for mass transport

make a miniture EM pulse thruster so you have 1 lb/s of thrust from a single pulse on some kitchen weighing scales and multiply the dimensions and watt/s and then come up with an efficient design

if you need 8000kW maximum to fly a 900 ton plane into space, it would be a whole lot easier to be able to push a 150 plane along at mach 8 using the retracting force of magnets

your miniture dimension * 40,000 to match concorde 1, 4 engines of thrust total output until you get everything right and able to fit on a plane
