Whatever for?
If on Windows, do as the Visual Basicers do.

"These could include banks with millions of customers accessing online account information and other services that need low latency and high throughput that can't be delivered by a traditional relational database."
1) banking applications with million of customers
2) who need high throughput operations
3) who need low latency
4) who are willing to take a relaxed view on the ACIDity of their transactions
Inlfation does not mean that pay should rise.
Inflation is due to either the government printing money (taxing you stealthily) or the general level of pay being too high in relation to actual productivity (so prices on output rise in accordance).
Additionally, threatening someone with "witholding labor" is about as effective as treatening someone with cutting yourself. It's rather emo.
“The FCC's mission is to ensure that broadband networks are safe and secure, and we're committed to working with all stakeholders to prevent problems like this in the future.”
Thirty years later, lots and lots of civil servants will have grown fat on salary and graft and retired with nice pensions due to these words, but the problems will still be there.
anyone affected by the the US invasion of Iraq, for being too fucking stupid to to leave that country before the attack.
The reality of course, is if you are too stupid to leave Iraq, then you are also too stupid to care about the ramifications of somone [sic] bombing your house and killing your family.
So then in summary, those that are most upset about this, are smart enough to be unaffected.
CASE CLOSED....
Young women baring all in front of webcams and flashing various anatomical parts (and&or using them) is now considered one of humanity's well-established customs, in the same category as mowing the grass on Saturday and walking the dog in the evening.
Nothing new really.
Bwahahah!
Red lights light up all over Washington D.C., starting at O'bomba and Killary, go on all over Congress. Then various lobbies and thinktanks light up like Christmas Trees. NSA, CIA, FBI, TSA and whatever attract moths from all over the place during the night. The glare from Wall Street, SEC and FED can be seen from the Moon.
Hopefully, these targets, once identified, are uploaded to submarines via satellite and nuke-tipped SLCMs are soon on the way for some appropriate termination.
"Piracy is limiting IT innovation, job creation, local economic growth and is robbing governments of vital tax revenues."
On the contrary. So-called "Piracy" is fueling IT innovation, creates jobs, fuels local economic growth and thus increases governments' vital tax revenus (which it can then throw away in War On Stuff etc. so the actual "Piracy" is not where you would think it is.)
Something that has not been thrown up by the intern during the afternoon break then granted by USPTO officials too clueless to be able to get a decent job?
Correct me if I'm wrong but if any Reg Readers are already doing this, might they not get into legal hot waters, as if you know that you are infringing and are not shunting money to the guy who suddenly turns out to be owning your idea, eventual punitive damages imposed on you may well be doubled without further ado.
Big Brother icon because Big State.
"ACTIVATE BRUCE WILLIS!!"
"Yes sir, we do not currently have any launch capability left, as you may recall."
"Ah yes. Oh well. Set up a competition for Earthquake-Proof Radios then or something. Cheaper anyway and it looks like the recovery isn't coming in a hurry."
"As you wish."
>>one of those missing soviet brief-case nukes hasn't been used before now
I have never heard that "soviet brief-case nukes" actually exist outside of writer's imagination.
I have also never heard that any of those non-exiting "soviet brief-case nukes" has disappeared.
The entry to Dick Cheney's bunker is that way ---->>
>> Something small and stealthy and keeps the enemy guessing would be ideal lauchable from subs and aircraft would be super.
Uh yeah. Super idea. Who do you want to keep guessing and why. Is Britain looking into doing nontraceable nuclear terrorism or something?
>>An EMP weapon detonated at 10 - 20 miles up
Most tiresome regurgitated PNAC bullshit ever.
>>Screw up their banking systems for long enough and they would be on their knees in quick order
This is currently happening through government-controlled central banking and the belief in the Ponzi Scheme, you might have noticed.
>> Is El Reg run by the pro-nuclear, pro-big-pharam, pro-GM and vehemently anti-green Frank Furedi sect
So what exactly is wrong with being pro-nuclear, pro-big-pharam, pro-GM and vehemently anti-green?
I will take my nuclear reactors over a coal-fired horror anytime, with GM corn on the side, too, as long I see all the Intellectual Property B.S. legislation sink and burn.
