no issue for me
I uninstalled this app no hassles on my EE supplied s4 running newly updated kitkat. Things like flipboard are disabled on my phone as well so again no issues.

i used to be like you and had nothing good to think about android but eventually i decided to take a new look at android. my change from apple to android had nothing really to do with cost as such, it was more to numerous things..
1. screen size.. i got sick of the tiny screen apple thinks i want.. i was really hoping apple would offer a larger screen on the 5s as i was due an upgrade just before its release but alas they chose to stick to one size with no choice..
2. memory.. i want to be able to increase the amount i have without having to a.have to purchase a new device b.take out a second mortgage just to get it.. i can now just slip in a cheap memory card and away i go..
3. if i want to install software manually i dont want to have to jailbreak to do it.. i want to be able to tick a box that says i understand the risk and i want to go ahead anyway..
4. customization. i want my phone the way i want it not the way apple thinks i want it... if i want a different font, different theme, different launcher etc i can do it.. then there is the really annoying issue with stock apps apple force me to see on my screen that i dont use and dont want to have displayed. android doesnt force to me to have anything on my workspace i can customise to my hearts content, i can even have the same app icon in multiple places if i want.
5. itunes... omg how i loath this app... i dont want to have to duplicate my music on my laptop.. i already use XBMC on my media pc so its centralised for everyone in the house. so all i want to do is copy some music to my phone. now i just plug in my phone using a standard cable (not some overpriced apple product) and copy the same as i do on my pc. job done!
i went for the samsung galaxy s4 as for me it ticked all the boxes, build quality is superb and if the battery ever dies i know i can just pop the back off easily and replace it.. no grumbling my battery life is getting worse as the product gets older.
i will never go back to apple iphone unless they can meet the above criteria. i think hell would freeze before it happens..
bearing in sony are bringing in charging for online gaming on the ps4 (funny how they have kept so tight lipped on this fact) and their u turns on things like using linux and backwards compatibility on the ps3 whats to stop them bringing in DRM and all ways online to the ps4 in a future update. knowing how much sony love drm i wouldnt put it past them to do it sooner than later
i went recently with my kids who were about my age at the time of the stuff in the 80s.. i made them watch the videos shown that we used to see on tv and we had to stop watching them as they got scared. i said this is what we had to live through at your age.. great to visit and will do again without the kids so i can read everything properly.
p.s does anyone remember the other series that was on tv of a dad built a bunker in his house and tricked the family into thinking nuclear war had started? eventually the kids found out it hadnt at all and thats how it ended...
since insta has been opened to android and also now they cant use your udid to block people on apple devices it will ultimately get worse.. i block around 3 or 4 people daily.. sick of it now. insta need to start being more proavtive on this spamming and find a way to stamp it out.
these are actually very nice cars and those hating are clearly "badge snobs". i have driven these when some arrived at the local docks where i used to work. Hyundais in general are well specced and good value for money, depreciation is really no worse than say a vw only you pay a lot less on the forecourt. after sales service is very good as well..
our spectrum 48k infact had grey keys as per the original advert.. it was the later ones that had the more bluey looking keys (our first one btw the serial number was in the hundreds, the second one we had once the first went wrong was in the thousands and still had a grey keyboard)..
btw its a cpc464 not a cpc64.. i assume thats just a typo :o)
i worked for amstrad during the +3/sinclair pc200 days... great times!!
ive read some many reveiews putting this game down but i still went ahead a purchased it and glad i did.. its better than modern warfare in terms of the online play imho and closer to battlefield 2. i dont buy these games for the single player experience as online is the place to be. i love the new maps not too small but not too big.
BUY IT!!
p.s cant wait for cod: spec ops!!
p.p.s those with a pc buy a console and see what your missing.. i never thought id enjoy games on anything else but a pc but how wrong was i
i worked for amstrad from 1990-96. I worked on the helpdesk for about 2 years or so and the rest in r&d for the pc divison.
the reason we went to the old 0898 numbers was stop people calling us all the time to help them reinstall dos and windows. many times i spent on the phone for 3hrs taking through it from start to finish only to get the next person moan it took so long to get through etc etc. so switched to premium rate, stopped all the long calls allowing people with real issues to get through.
the 2000series issues were seagate and WD fault with their crap drives and controllers, which as already said was sorted out and they had to pay out a vast amount of money but yes was a bit late as the damage was done. by the time i helped develop the 5000 series and above we were using the same kit as everyone else (seagate hd again, sony floppy and cd drives, creative labs sound cards etc) and these were very good quality machines at good prices and well built (i knew the guys and girls who hand built them in shoebury). also the mega pc was a great idea (pc and mega drive in the same box) and not one other company came up with something so imaginative. and we were the first ones to come up with the combined tv and pc in a box as well!!!
at the same time the guys developing some of the sound products were making kit cheap using great surround sound hardware that at the time only the high end makers were using and charging the earth for but we wasnt.
my time at amstrad was fantastic and we was at the cutting edge of pc stuff.. we were very close to intel and i saw so many new processors long before normal punters did.
i had a lot of contact with alan in the last few years as hes a hands on bloke and he dont take any crap from anyone and likes a straight answer from people... good luck to him he knows what he is doing!!!
well i dont know what all the fuss is about ive installed the patch (on 3 normal pc's and also on my macs bootcamp/parallels setup) and also the slipstreamed version and had no problems whatsoever. is this another case of people with crap hardware or setups with loads of dodgy software installed.. but as usual blaming the last thing that touched their pc?????
if your going to review the mac also get yourself a windows xp partition using bootcamp and then install parallels then you can use it in coherance mode and you have the best of both worlds. ive been using this setup on my macbook for over a year now and i will never go back to just a pc
SONY... its just a member of the The Blu-ray Disc Association (BDA) which is the industry consortium that develops and licenses Blu-ray Disc technology and is responsible for establishing format standards and promoting business opportunities for Blu-ray Disc. The BDA is divided into three levels of membership: the Board of Directors, the Contributors, and the General Members.
The "Blu-ray Disc Founder" was founded in May 2002 by nine leading electronic companies: Sony, Matsushita, Pioneer, Philips, Thomson, LG Electronics, Hitachi, Sharp, and Samsung. Spearheaded by Sony Corporation, on February 19th 2002 the companies announced that they were the "Founders" of the Blu-ray Disc and later changed their name to the "Blu-ray Disc Association" on May 18, 2004 to allow more companies to join their development. Some examples of companies that signed in include Apple, TDK, Dell, Hewlett Packard, The Walt Disney Company, Warner Bros. and Universal Music Group. As of December 2007, there are more than 250 members and supporters of the Association.

"saying that i have one bad experiance in pcworld with a sales person telling me that you couldn't buy non wireless routers . to her credit when i told her other wise she appologised and said that she was new and was still getting up to speed."
thats all well and good your quote, but what happens when its a normal punter that doesnt know otherwise. They would be sold something on incorrect details... if she didnt know the answer instead of blagging it find out!!!!
i love pc world.... their staff give me something to laugh about on a boring day listening to the crap that spills from the "tech guys" mouths
sound chip as a spectrum 128k.. says it all really, all they had over the amiga as mentioned was a midi interferace, and really how many people actually used that for playing games??!! just admit the amiga WAS the far superior machine.
still a shame to see such an important player in computer world is going...
ive had mine for a week now and love it..
i dont particullary play games so im happy with the new button presses instead of the joystick (i had 3 different k800i's and the joystick was always sticking so was a pain in the arse).
i couldnt care less about the fingerprints.. any phone with a shiny case is going to suffer that and i think people moaning about are just trying to find things to moan about!!
buttons are a bit weird to start with but at least they wont suffer with the same problem as the k800i... ie the labels coming off the keys (very annoying and is a known problem with that model)
i love the camera and it makes it feel more like a proper camera now than a phone with a camera and its much quicker to move between the modes now they have used the keys 3 to # to allow you change them.
the soft keys are fantastic and i love them cant see why people are having problems with them and the person saying they keep getting empty texts... have the phone on autolock and you wont have an issue.
the only issue i would have mentioned was that the software doesnt auto sync but the cd supplied is already out of date and the updated version from the site allows that now so my contacts and diary from work are now synced every half hour.
and lastly the flash can now be used as a torch (dont remember that option on the k800i) which is usefull as it the SOS option it has .. if i ever get stuck somewhere i need it that is
just pre ordered my copy and ive paid the princely sum of £70.50 including vat and delivery.. ah the benefits of working for a big bank that has a deal with apple
must say im slightly disapointed by the fact theirs only version, feel kinda left out seeing as the MS crowd get to choose from half a dozen versions of vista **SUCKERS!!!!** lol
