nice idea in principle but in the UK it's utterly pointless. Spoilt ballots are simply ignored and have no effect whatsoever on the overall result. Personally I'd like to see election by Proportional Representation. This would create a more balanced parliament and give the smaller parties a chance whilst forcing whoever does form a government to have to negotiate with other parties to get legislation through. One would only hope there'd be a little more accountability too. </wishful thinking>
