Everybody who pays income tax, pays for the upkeep of the road system. "Road Tax" was abolished in 1937.
Motor vehicles now pay "Vehicle Excise duty", and this is related to how much pollution said vehicle emits. Electric cars, Cyclists and pedestrians don't emit the same level of Pollutants, hence why they don't pay VED.
I dunno about the rest of you but I'm just sick of it all now. I hardly play any games on the damn thing anymore, I don't want an xbox either. Think I am just gonna give up on games full stop and stick to activities that don't require me to sign away my life. wonder if I can get a Blu ray player that is not bogged down with legal crap or should I get my video recorder back out of the loft....
Whilst not being Black Metal, there is an album out there with an Eclectic mix of Metal bands doing Covers of Abba songs. Its well worth Checking out.
Therion do a great Version of "Summer Night City", and Metaliums "Thankyou for the music" is rather good too.
But my Personal Favourite is "Eagle" by Sgt. Fury.

But I also like having my games available to play off line as well as on line. There's nothing more irritating than not being able to play games you have legitimately purchased, because your PC/Console/ whatever can't connect to the network.
A case in point, the recent Playstation Leap year fiasco. I couldn't play Darksiders, even tho this was a game I had bought from the shops, not downloaded, so I had the physical media for the console, but because of the trophy system, the game got halfway through loading and then dumped me back out because it couldn't sync it over the network.
It all boils down to control at the end of the day, and I think when Gaming finally does move away from home PCs and consoles, then I shall find something else to do with my time. Hell I'll be an old fart by then anyway so I can sit at home in a rocking chair moaning about the good old days, and all the cash I save from not buying games any more I can keep under my mattress.
Its the limit ISPs put on how much you can download each month that spells doom for this puppy methinks. For my Gaming I have my ISPs "Gamer" package, which is supposed to give me low pings, but I only get 20Gb(I think) a month download allowance. since the advent of things like You tube and Iplayer, I usually come close to the limit and sometimes over it every month.
Surely this kind of Gaming is only going to exacerbate this issue?
I have just had to remove this and other Variations of this from my Dads 2 PCs. I have installed Avast on his machine in the past and had him run Ad-aware or Spybot regularly to keep the crap down, but this malware targets a large cross section of the public that aren't that computer savvy.
What I found on my dads PCs was that it had actually disabled automatic updates for windows and had disabled the updates for avast, so that even if you ran a scan it wouldn't detect it. To get round it I had to run the Online Scanner from ESET, then manually re-enable windows updates and Avast, then Once avast was updated it was able to remove a lot more of the problem software. But I was still being faced with a big Red Biohazard logo saying my "privacy was in danger", displayed on the desktop. I found an Excellent guide to removing Malware over at Majorgeeks and followed that, and now both machines are running a lot sweeter. But I do wonder if I might just be better off reformatting and re-installing, just to be sure.
Think I am going to get dad to use a different browser like firefox or opera too from now on.

It is extremely irritating to use as well, especially if you don't use it often. There are sooo many sodding systems that require passwords now, and not just any password, you usually have to make it super long and with numbers in it to make it "unique". All that does is make it longer to type in and means I end up using the same password for multiple systems in a bid to try and remember it!

The Wii has some very well thought out games, that lean a lot more towards the replay factor for various age groups with an approach to a unique control style. To compare Mario to Ratchet & clank is short sighted at best, and downright ignorant at its worst. I own both consoles and get more than enough hours of play out of both systems(more on the wii currently ;) ). But I won't touch a Xbox 360 with a barge pole tbh. so I gues its Horses(or donkeys) for courses really, try before you buy folks....I'll get me coat now.
