Obviously the Apple core is composed of masochists. That being the case, non masochists will never understand them. But given the financial successes Apple has had lately, and knowing that success comes only from the sale of it products, I come to the conclusion the fanbois love things the way they are and want more of the same. Why ask why?
... is a font and typeface genius. She makes new and earth shattering examples every day in multiple colors and in various media: crayons, finger painting, Etch-A-Sketch and etc. For that matter, so did Jethro Bodine in his sign shop. This is really IT news of the highest order.
It's just not ready for prime time. The first to RCs were a frakkin' PITA and the third is not worth my time. I've given them a chance and this old fart is staying with 3.6.15 until good comments about FF4 far outweigh the bad. No brand loyalty here, just want the best for my situation and FF 4 is simply not it. Big frakkin' deal.
So we should forsake the use of the word "wave" even though the action implied has nothing to do with a tsunami? So we should stop using words like "shoot" as in photography too, "krill" because it sounds so much like "kill", or "grill" because that's what they do to prisoners and war criminals? Oh grow up.
If you're a Dell corporate customer, they'll supply a custom image to your specifications. Well. they were in 2008 and I'd think they not kill that off.
As to "off-the-shelf" machines, autoruns and the ability know what to uninstall can get you a much quicker machine in about thirty minutes. But when I have people complain about the Intel and Windows stickers being peeled off, I know they don't really care to have their computer optimized. Hell, just buy a faster one and ditch the old one is their usual response.
Then there's nLite and RT7 Lite. Roll your own with no crap and only the services and features you want. Too bad the average user is just fine with the OEM install just the way it is. I mean don't the boobs have any idea of what they need and want? Can you imagine that, buy the computer and just use it. Sheese ... what a bunch of, well, normal users.
So far I've "upgraded" ten XP stations to 7 with nary a problem. Let's see, that was five with old AMD socket "A" 3200 XP CPUs (stable and they run faster than XP ever did). two Asus Eee PC 1000HEs (quick with long battery life), one Compaq laptop, one desktop with an ultra modern (for me) AMD dual core Brisbane (?) 5000 CPU and one Toshiba netbook. Installed SP1 on them all via the 500+MB downloaded installer without a single hitch. I must be living right. Or maybe the process just isn't so hard after all.
Partitions? Not a problem since I used GPartEd and did it My Way. Me and Old Blue Eyes got it down pat.
Obviously you've never murdered anyone with a candlestick you own in the library of your house. If you'd like to test your hypothesis, maybe you'd like to take 30 minutes to draw a crowd and then commit the act. It's your property right? Ya see.... there are just no absolutes such as you claim as your right.
... carried guns, BIG guns, but they didn't shoot IT offenders, they simply had them castrated to prevent future generations from being bad. Of course with the Apple fanbois having already given their souls and glands over to The Sacred J they had to come up with another fix for them. I think they took away their Latte ration or maybe the pink toilet paper.
