Anna Chapman to design Russian space uniforms

Sarah Bee (Written by Reg staff)

Re: Oh dear...

I think there was some confusion here. Commentard seems to me to be saying "Anna Chapman is much more than vaguely attractive". I believe Mr Page would acknowledge this and was employing comic understatement.

I have no idea why I just wasted precious seconds writing this.

Re: really?

You could work out the statistical likelihood of you getting arrested for doing any of those, and then the likelihood of you going to prison if you did. And then you could do them. (It is fairly vanishingly unlikely, I would suggest.)

Re: And in other current news...

News is in the named director, but far be it from me to interrupt your happy complaining.

Sarah Bee (Written by Reg staff)

Re: The originals weren't exactly realistic either

Realistic isn't the point. Die Hard and Raiders are both absolutely brilliant films on their own terms in a way that makes any nitpicking null and void.

I couldn't give a crap about Die Hard 4 - I stopped watching when Kevin Smith's stupid face hove into view - but Crystal Skull made me quite cross. Now I pretend it was all just a bad collective hallucination.

I'm sorry, I clearly wasn't sarcastic enough. I was being sarcastic. You know, because whenever anyone says anything favourable about a company here they are always mindlessly accused of being paid to say it.

Sigh.

Re: I agree somewhat

The critics don't always agree, though. I agree with some of them some of the time. Generally critical consensus works out for the best, though... that's how it should work.

Sarah Bee (Written by Reg staff)

Re: A title is required

Of course it's subjective, ultimately - you can't prove a film is better than another. I know you lot would like that to be possible, but... it ain't.

Re: anti-correlation

Yeah but if the cinematography and lighting and wotnot aren't right, your brain may notice, and it may unconsciously affect your enjoyment. Critics are sometimes concerned with entertainment value, y'know.

Or maybe you just enjoy simple entertaining films which is totally fair enough and all. I'd be interested to know what your favourites are. Kind of.
