But R'n'B albums are usually at least 15 tracks long. Nothing wrong with a bit of something short in the midst of it.
I mean c'mon. I'd rather listen to (and indeed pay for) a 50-second song by Rihanna than an eight-minute one by Meat Loaf. If we measured song quality by duration then Meat Loaf would be more lauded than Johnny Cash.
If you put up a tribute page you're 'asking for trouble'? What kind of attitude is that?
I bet this guy wouldn't have the cojones to go and show his arse to mourners at a funeral. Why are people such bastards on the internet? Yeah, I know, it facilitates it, but why do people feel the need to be such bastards in any medium?
Everything about this is depressing. And yeah, I don't know that he should have been banged up either in terms of the law but morally he's beneath contempt, and anyone who can seriously defend him or sympathise with him (beyond the free speech angle which is still fairly spurious) isn't much better.
You might want to take a moment here and imagine what life would actually be like if commenters could edit their own comments.
On an unrelated topic, I was watching that Time Machine film the other day and there was this really awesome bit where the moon was breaking up and the entire world was in chaos and under martial law and stuff.
It's an incredibly smug catch-all term which gives puns a bad name. It's easy enough to describe people who you think are slavish and mindless with such words as 'mindless' and 'slavish' without resorting to that kind of childishness. Ironically enough, it makes you vulnerable to accusation that you're the kind of person who slavishly and mindlessly follows convention.

Er, I think he's got a point, actually - he was just talking about fashion, essentially, and that has to be led by something. It's a subtle process. I don't think anyone's suggesting that everyone of a certain age has been irretrievably warped and has altered their behaviour according to what they've seen online.
