HTC phones do look different from Apple ones and you can tell them easily, I own an HTC HD2. The Samsung S2 wasa rip off of the iPhone4 and you have to be blind to not notice that.
Strangly enough the s3 Looks nothing like the iPhone5 nothing like a lwasuit , to make people actualy get off thier arses and design their own stuff for a change!
Hold on a second, apple forced you into nothing! it was rodgers you signed the contract with not apple, an the reason that an OS won't work on your phone is that it physically cant run it anymore, although if you had an 3gs you would be able to run ios6. As someone who got an HTC HD2, and then found themselves left high and dry by microsoft, your luck you you even got updates , I was screwed within months of getting my phone!

for such a underspecced phone, why is there so much coverage of it on the reg, you dont have this sought of coverage for any other phone of manufacturer, not even samsung.

Why come on here to lie and justify why you made the wrong choice in buying the sony. I mean seriously do you exp[ect people to belive you shellwed on 400 on an Ipad 2 and then went and got a Sony for nearly the same money, and therfore don't use the iPad2 anymore? The article was pretty fair, Samsung could have stuck wioth plain vanilla Andriod or gone down the microsoft path , and designed there own unqiue gui. Nope they went down the copy close enough to get the reflected gloy off the iPhone route. As the british judge stated , itsa less cooler version of the iPhone, thats pretty damning right there.
Samsung have more than enough money and as they proved with the Tocco can design GUI's without reference to anyone else, they just descided to copy the leader and got burned!
What I find amazing about this thread, is the waytha android fans , try and reduce the arguments to avoid a clear cut case os samsung caught copying.
Apples arguments is not that sumsung can't do a phonewith rounded corners, has HTC et all would have been sued into nothingess years ago, so why the hell do you keep repeating this claptrap?
What Appl is sueing for , is the fact that samsung has created a clone of the iPhone that is close enough to get appeal from Apple's superb marketing, and be bought by those people who can't afford to buy an iPhone but would like something like it.
You guys keep going on about rounded corners, etc etc , becuase in theend you would be forced to admit, that for all the slagging off of the iPhone, you went ahead and got an Andriod copy! lol
