I have some isues with your logic

"Successful:

Video8 (beat VHS-C)" never heard of it

"HiVideo8 (beat SVHS-C)" ditto

"MemoryStick (is equal to CompactFlash, SD, miniSD, etc.)" only just equal all most all non sony devices I have seen use sd

"CD (with Phillips) (beat, uh everything)" allmost everyboady makes cd's even if sony started it it is now universal

"Blu-ray (with Phillips and Matsushita/Panasonic) (beat HD-DVD)" has yet to be deturmened the war is not over

all I want is a HD format for my (not yet got) HD telly but if I pick one I am taking a gamble it will lose and I will need to spend more mony on a replacment in x years (not only player but disks et all) so I am not buying till one has won. till then SD is fine and get all my hd content form the good old BTorrent

that pice of software was a life saver when I ran a internet cafe any changes upto formating the hdd a simple had reset (pull the power cord) and it was undone that and a linux server made me imune to all malware just kill everything (on time vier the main circuit breaker) and back and ready

in my not so humble opinion the only to get any improvments in edcuation in to hire more teachers the best way to teach is to make class sizes as close to 1 on 1 as posible the main reasion prvite schools give a better education is they class sizes are 1 to 10 or 1 to 20 not 1 to 40 and all the faffing around this gover ment has been doing with policeys is just confusing and costly and distracting
