anyway, that laptop is getting Linux on it this weekend...

The new desktop box is remaining off until Saturday when the free offer is over... I've decided that Win& Pro is perfectly fine especially when I do most of my browsing ec. using Linux in VirtualBox...

The old Linux desktop is going to become an NAS/Media Server... hiding 'headless' behind the TV stand. Give it a fixed IP and control it remotely.

They have special means of keeping computers powered up while transporting them to their lair... they even have boxes called mouse jigglers to prevent screensavers kicking and then requiring a password.

I was very impressed with this recognition software as it flagged up some self shot concert videos I had done of an AC/DC tribute band...

it was £49.95 in kit form... I ordered mine when seeing the very first advert in the Sunday paper supplement that week... It arrived within 3 days!!! and I had it assembled and working that very same day...

What impressed me was the use of chip sockets rather than expecting the person to solder the chips in directly... cost more, but would have a massive effect in reduced returns...

<p>your problem is that you are using Firefuscked and probably KDE... stick to using the default browser on RPi and LXDE or XFCE or enlightenment or blackbox as the desktop and you're well in...<p>Personally, I'd love to see KDE 2 or Gnome 2 running on this... I had a 900 MHz laptop with only 256MB of ram back in 2002 and it was fine running those..

That rarely happens, usually the assets are sold to a friend's shell company for a small sum and then 'rented' back from that firm... then there are no actual assets to seize
