I'm presuming the drone was using the encrypted P-Code (or better still, M-Code) GPS signals. So either the Iranians have hacked it (extremely doubtful). More likely an operative close to the US air base (Miramar or wherever the drone launched from) is receiving the GPS signals and forwarding them to a broadcast station in Iran.
“In so many cases these incidents are the result of carelessness and lack of thought rather than any malicious intention,"
Reminds me of the old adage: Never ascribe to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.
Maybe if the ICO started fining local authorities for hiring stupid and untrainable people...
I remember back in the day, when I was a poor 3rd level student, I spent a whole freezing winter without heating. It didn't kill me and since then I had a much greater tolerance for cold temperatures; I can still wear t-shirts and be quite comfortable when others are breaking out the sweaters.
The move to roman numerals (version 10 will be released as version X) and the requirement that every customer purchase a yearly Customer Care Package which does nothing except entitle the buyer to purchase the next major upgrade at a slightly lower price than buying it new; even though when you look at the numbers it turns out you would have saved a boatload of money by not purchasing the CCP and buying the next upgrade as new anyway.
This is just a true indication that so called 'Gaming Executives' have no awareness of the people in the industry. Hardly surprising given that the 'Executives' in any business these days are nothing more than accountants. Be thankful that they were not asked to list the top most influential games of all time, the top two replies would have been 'Excel' and 'Sage Accounts'.
