When you can't rig what journalist say go after social media and search engines so you control what people see.
I wish I was joking.
Execs from Oracle, Microsoft and Google are reportedly to meet US president Donald Trump next week amid strained relations between tech giants and lawmakers. The Wall Street Journal, citing an email from White House tech policy advisor Michael Kratsios, said the meeting would be held next Thursday. Top tech bosses said to be …
Knowing this president, it'll just be several hours of him trying to get tech executives to suck up to him; self-aggrandizing lies; and rants about his "enemies". At least until everyone gets bored of his antics and leave (Satya would probably be first since he's already served under loud, obnoxious balding blubbering buffoon for years and probably doesn't want flashbacks)
any intelligence he may possess is completely artificial
A new version of the Hanlon's razor for the age of Big Data and AI:
Never attribute to artificial intelligence what can be adequately explained by natural stupidity.
Google search results for “Trump News” shows only the viewing/reporting of Fake News Media. In other words, they have it RIGGED, for me & others, so that almost all stories & news is BAD. Fake CNN is prominent. Republican/Conservative & Fair Media is shut out. Illegal? 96% of....

It did not take long for a "democratic" (quotes probably needed) government to start moaning that Google is not giving them access to the Dragonfly/Roskomnadzor interface.
Well, not entirely unexpected. In the slightest.
If you let them make fools of themselves, things work out better.
If you believe people are too stupid for that to work,
A: you are an elitist, and
B: you should be helping educate them so they aren't, or
C: Admitting that there are a lot of genetically stupid people on earth and equality under the laws isn't the same thing as we're all equal. (I'm all for the former, and the latter speaks for itself with a little observation)
The cognitive dissonance is deafening.
The MSM has always lied. Think of any major event they reported you were present for, and compare what you saw with what they reported. The get the sportsball scores right, usually. That's about it. The rest is VERY colored by the ownership's views at the least. No, they don't tell reporters to slant things this way or that - they hire the ones already slanted or who easily figure out which side of their paycheck is buttered. People do what they are incentivised to do.
And in this world, if it bleeds, it leads, rubbernecking is a sport, and it sells ads - incentive.
