Interesting is that Natalie never claimed to brick phones and Tavis got all the press for claiming that Natalie's exploit did.

    The downside to unregulated currency

That is the downside to having an unregulated currency like BitCoin, if it gets stolen or taken as part of a scam, there are no mechanisms in place to get it back. Whether or not that risk is worth the upsides of bitcoin is something that needs to be considered.

"there are no mechanisms in place to get it back"

The same is true of cash.

Not only true of cash. The same is true of the magical electronic GBP in our accounts.

When someone gets scammed or stolen from *that* money isn't recovered, the banks pays you back and has insurance for this sort of thing.

They haven't recovered the fund stolen, they've replaced them. That's different.

Users of GBP, a regulated currency, lost nearly £1bn without recovery in 2017.

    WTF?

Since when can the FBI arrest someone in India ?

"one young man from the Jalaun district in India [..] they instead arrested him"

There is a host of confusing things about this article, but the worst is the fact that the author of this article does not mention that the FBI didn't actually arrest the boy and there is an investigation going on.

At least get the facts straight in article whose source you link to.

    Plugins

Frequently biggest issue on Wordpress, Drupal or anything else. Only install what you REALLY need to use. Same applies to phone apps and programs etc.

For once, given WordPress' reputation for lax security, it isn't the content platform's fault. Instead the problem comes from a third-party plugin called WP GDPR Compliance, which is supposed to indicate if a website is breaking the EU rules.

So, some utter idiots haven't understood that "GDPR Compliance" is not about software and can't be done by a "plugin".

    Oh yeah...

with the cops can't even keep track of their own firearms.

After "de-policing" and feeding military gear to Mexican mobs, is laxity in cop stalls another leftover from the Obama era?
