back to article Arm cozies up to Intel for second time in a week – this time to borrow tools from Yocto Project for Mbed Linux

Now who's the soppy picture supposed to represent?

On a serious note, we know that Intel has had to adjust to the growth of ARM's world, but does any of this working with Intel look like a change of direction for ARM under softbank management? Or is it just regular industry movements that would look fairly inevitable under any management? Or is the change perhaps in a PR department enthusiastic about Reg stories?

    Don't forget...

There a lot of other players involved with Yocto, including a lot of Arm-centric contributors. The landing page lists Intel, TI, Arm, NXP and there are also a lot of system suppliers involved (Beagleboard, Wandboard...).

Intel do put a lot in, but so do a lot of others (including individuals).

Some of the contributors also offer long term support for Yocto releases.
