    Supposedly

Why is it that Tor is the only security product to be constantly described by our Vultures as "supposedly" secure?

We all know that the only 100% secure precaution is the hardware OFF switch. The likes of HTTPS, firewalls and such are never "supposedly" secure, even when holes are found.

    Why the bias against Tor?

Posting anonymously for the lulz (supposedly).

I don't know of any product the Vultures describe as secure. I guess it comes down to any product that claims to be security-related is given the "allegedly" treatment here.

Still, this is Yet Another Lesson in the need for layers of security, you know like an Ogre has. Or was that an onion?

    Javascript XOR Security

More evidence, were any needed, that you can have javascript or you can have security. Pick one.

      Re: Javascript XOR Security

Remember the 90s when you were told "don't run unknown software on your computer" at every point in a security lecture? Well now we do it every day in our web browsers.

And mostly its there for shitty advertising reasons...

On the other hand, if you are doing it right, any time there is a new Tor release, you download the bundle, delete the old instance, and reinstall.

To avoid browser fingerprinting, you should be doing no customization or unique configuration. so it should be easy to keep up with the latest patches.
