    Computers run themselves, automation takes care of everything - no wonder he can take time out like the rest of us in IT, it's all working on it's own without any time and effort from competent IT people.

    Everybody in the software industry knows "pursue new endeavours and spend more time with his family" means his departure wasn't through choice.

      Even if that choice was the constant nagging from the wife "You're never here, it always just me with the kids, you need to be here more, keep the magic money tree flowing as I like that and see no correlation between you not being here and the money I like to spend..."
