    Well, it's kind of poetic

Anyone know if it's just this specific article on the Guardian website with the malware, or is it the broader Guardian website in general?

If it's only this specific article, then it seems like the attackers knew of the article prior to it being published. It's just sounds too poetic/ironic for it to be random co-incidence.

Re: Well, it's kind of poetic

From what this article has described, it seems like the whole site should have been affected, as well as any others using the same service. We're a bit light on info here...

I'm wondering if El Reg may pop up in the miscreants radar and other tech oriented sites. It would be a coup indeed.

"Flash, Java, VBscript" Yes, but Shirley the folks of Islington are all using Apple Macs or iPads? I mean who else would be reading an IT article on The Groanagain?

Is it at all possible The Guardian put it there themselves?

This is the grauniad. Corbyn is unlikely to get the blame here. Cameron, Blair are all likely candidates though.

There is nothing wrong with the Guardian. You just have to read the Telegraph at the same time.
