    DOS = Denial Of Service

    The "real" meaning of the acronym seems much more contrived... is someone in GDS trying to warn us of something?

      Not just you. Suggests that the people who dreamt this up don't know other meanings for the TLA. In that case, they probably shouldn't be specifying the requirements.

        What you mean letting an incompetent, inexperienced civil servant do a job that could potentially waste millions isn't the norm?

        Don't worry though, if they do screw it up I'm sure those particular staff members at GDS will be banned from using their tax bought macs and Latte Mocha's for a week.

    Yet another goverment attack on lone contractors

    So after the loveyness in the budget for the independent IT contractor, making it only practical if you can direct contract with a supplier, not through an intermediary, they are going to change the framework for bring in this type of resource, so that it massively favours large intermediaries. Thanks for the support of SMEs UK.gov!
