    A shame

Camel Audio were a great company, with top quality products. I guess that's why they were bought up - presumably they were made an offer they couldn't refuse - but it's sad that there will be no more Camel Audio software for Windows users, even if it does eventually re-surface in the Macosphere.

Truly - one of the best synths I've come across. Wonder what happens to all of the sound libraries though - most of them were made by third parties, so I wonder if the rights revert to them (as they'll no longer be getting any renumeration), or have Apple borged the lot?

    Hmmm...

I only ever use Camel Software as plugins with Apple's Logic so it will probably make little material difference to me yet still strangely sad to see them go.

A quick search reveals that Camel essentially shut down at the beginning of the year. Apple may have bought it - probably for peanuts - to get a brand-name, a patent ($DEITY forbid), software to build into one of their own products, or simply a (small, admittedly) user base.
