External Soundcard Advice wanted.
I'm in the market for an external soundcard that takes an Optical / spdif input, and outputs to 3.5mm to drive a 5.1 setup. I tried one I previously ran from my laptop, and while it drove the setup fine over USB, the Optical input doesn't produce anything when hooked up to the telly. The laser from the telly is active, and it used to drive a BluRay / home theatre box, but that died, so I'm pretty sure it's the soundcard that just doesn't do optical despite having the input (it was less than tenner, so I was iffy about that anyway)
Any recommendations greatfully received. Budget ideally less than £50, if I'm looking at more than that, I might as well get a new home theatre setup.
