back to article San Franciscans unite to smite alt-right with minefield of doggy shite

A shit storm awaits a bunch of far-right protestors when they convene in San Francisco this weekend – locals are storing up their doggy do-do and plan to distribute it in the area the protestors are holding the rally. People of the Rainbow City will heavily pepper Crissy Field and the white beach next to the Golden Gate bridge …

    Hmmmm....

Who IS going to clean it up? An 'amusing' plan to deal with nazis, but it really will need to be cleaned up afterwards. Do children play there? Won't someone think etc...

That is very unlikely to happen which leaves the city to do the cleaning and I hope they add the cost to the city taxes.

Have you ever been to SF? This is a place where people wear trash bags for pants and defecate in entryways outside of buildings. Doubt this mess will be cleaned up any time soon.

Would also not be surprised if the city has an ordnance stating you need to pick up after your dog. If the city was smart, they would be sitting in wait with citation books in hand to make some money from this.

      Re: Hmmmm....

yeah they "promise" to get together and clean it up afterwards, but you know how it is with lefties... whenever you see photos of 'the aftermath' when they leave, trash all over etc. because most of them have the mentality that "someone else" will do it [usually gummint]. It's how they think. Gummint does EVERYTHING according to leftists, so cleaning up their mess would make sense, to THEM.

      here's an example: http://www.king5.com/tech/science/environment/ton-of-trash-left-behind-after-environmental-protest/197524056

and don't forget trash arranged in the form of a peace sign, at woodstock... [yeah why couldnt' they haul it away instead?] OK not a protest, but it was hippies "back in the day", a foreshadowing of the future behavior of left-leaning protests, I'd guess.

This as opposed to Tea Party rallies in which the level of trash afterwards was apparently VERY SMALL (and piled near trash cans when they overflow).

      http://goodsensepolitics.blogspot.com/2009/09/compare-garbage-after-tea-party-vs.html

So yeah, who IS going to clean that up? THEY say THEY will. I wouldn't hold my breath... well, I guess I'd hold my breath anyway, because the stench of the DOG CRAP will be pretty foul.

Yeah, they CLAIM they'll clean it up, but they're "fulla crap". had to say that.

        Re: Hmmmm....

Well, you're certainly bombastically ignorant. Woodstock was a capitalist endeavor to make money off of hippies. The ticket price in 1969 dollars was $18 for three days ( $120 current USD, 93.24 current GBP.) The capitalists who sold the tickets were responsible for hauling the trash away.

People holding an event for which a fee is charged are responsible for cleaning it up, but sometimes they're fulla crap.

People holding an event for which a fee is charged are responsible for cleaning it up, but sometimes they're fulla crap.

In this case.. the doogie doo is there before the event so its on the backs of the parks and recreation service to clean the area before the event. Its not part of the event.

But its all moot, because the event was cancelled out of concern that there will be violence. From both the right and the left.

The reality is that this wasn't an ALT-RIGHT group. This was a group that wants to protect our first amendment rights which are being shut down by the left. Seriously this is fscked up. People are afraid to speak their mind because they are afraid of being attacked.

They cancelled the event because they knew that the Alt-Left (BLM, Antifa and other organizations ) were already planning for armed protest. However, there was evidence that 'white supremacists' and other alt-right groups were planning to attend to make the event violent and to clash with the protesters.

Note: California is home to both Alt-Left (Antifa ) and Alt-Right (Neo-Nazi , 'White Supremacists') factions who both have had violent protests and attacks.

Things are a bit more complicated that what you see in the Guardian and other newsprint. A lot of this is dumb'd down for the masses. This is also why Trump's comments were taken out of context and people didn't understand what he was saying about Charlottesville. (Nobody but the neo-nazis and ISIS would condone somebody running people down with a car.)

Things are getting out of hand and this SHIT STORM was caused by the Dems.

The whole anti-fascist movement has parallels with Think of the Children types, imo. Proponents say "why would you oppose laws against paedophiles / why would you defend paedophiles". But then they go and gather a lynch mob outside a paediatrician's house.

Being against Nazis - I get that. You getting to decide anyone who disagrees with you is a Nazi, not so much.

          Exactly.

Bantering around terms that are loaded and prejudice is just wrong. Hence we have Goodwin's rule.

The Antifa movement is more about anarchy than is for anything. Some members have gone on record saying that they justify their violence as 'self defense'.

People getting attacked for having a hair cut or wearing a white shirt and khakis and accused of being 'White Supremacists'.... Or for wearing a Trump hat... not good.

To give you an example... a group of school aged kids were in D.C on a school trip. They had scheduled to eat lunch at Howard University. Some had Trump's MAGA hat and were verbally assaulted by University students. (Think about that for a second... ) Adults verbally harassing school kids on a school trip. (teens/tweens)

To make matters worse... The University apologizes to the students of the University for having to be inflicted with someone wearing a MAGA hat, rather than chastise the college students for acting inappropriately.

This is really f'd up. And I've seen same stupidity on the other side of the pond in Edinburgh.

          The organiser is half african.

They want everyone to attend. Black, white, asian, gay, straight; they don't care, they want them to come along, to talk and listen to what is probably mediocre music, and eat bbq They're a welcoming group.

This entire thing came about because they said they support free speech and because they have the word "patriot" in their rally title. The media and the "left" (by which I mean the regressive "you aren't allowed to think that you rapist alt-right nazi scum" authoritarians who align with the left) have talked up a shitstorm, claiming that it's a white supremacist group without any evidence beyond the fact that the group says it stands for free speech.

If standing for free speech makes one a nazi now, then I'm a fucking nazi as well.

Yes. The reporter (guy in the red top who leapt in to save him) said at the time he thought "they're going to kill him". He also reported there was a line of police who could see what was happening but didn't intervene.

This clip is the same location and people a few minutes before. The person who ended up on the ground being beaten was just behind the two in this clip. These two managed to get away. To howls of "pussy" from the aggressive mob pursuing him. I would have been running from my life by that point, so I don't see why.

Very aggressive, pro-violence. And I heard someone try to support it by saying the victims were deliberately provoking the aggression by, I kid you not, "speaking against marxism".

No it does not. At least compared to what we used a couple of times during student protests in one unnamed Eastern European country.

      Recipe for counter-demonstration:

      1. Several boxes of eggs

      2. Liquid culture of Bacillus Subitils from the microbiology department. This is the preferred option as it will produce the desired result while being harmless to humans (that is official - FDA says so). Other bacteria or just plain soil in water will do too, but may result in you being blamed for producing bio weapons.

      3. Syringe with hypodermic needle and superglue. Carefully inject each egg with ~ 0.1 ml and seal the hole with superglue.

      4. Incubate over night at 37C.

      5. Counterdemonstrate at will.

          Err... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hydrogen_sulfide

The stench of rotten eggs is not H2S, it is thioles (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thiol). All of them are toxic to some extent too, but there is a major difference compared to H2S. H2S is toxic at the concentration where it stinks to high heaven. Thioles on the other hand stink to high heaven long before they become toxic. For example the stench of Butyl-mercaptane can be barely tolerated at ppb (not even ppm). In fact a concentration of thioles which is toxic will knock you out flat as a stun grenade by stench alone long before it is toxic. They also have an interesting side effect - they saturate their receptors so people exposed to them stop feeling the stench. As a result they walk around still thinking to high heaven without understanding why everyone else avoids them.
