    Doesn't seem to be a good fit for bitcoin/etherium mining...

    Aren't those desktop systems packing in upwards of 1,000 GPUs?

    I wouldn't know since all my bitcoins are at the bottom of my linty pocket.

      The state of the art in HPC is about eight or so GPU and beyond that you need to give someone like Cray a ring. Even then, they can't go much beyond that without all sorts of bus contention...
