This is pure speculation. What does an Hybrid cloud deal mean?

Just because Diane Green is coming to the conference, it does not mean that Google is interested in striking a deal. Its like Theranos stacking its board with bigwigs from politics, academia etc.

Yeah, I assume there is some reason for Google sending a high ranking exec though. It not like this is just a random Google engineer. It would make sense that Nutanix have some hybrid strategy as right now they are competing against public cloud and probably losing a fair amount and probably assume they will lose a fair amount more often as time goes on. A Google Cloud partnership gives them a way of saying 'put workload that makes sense for private cloud on Nutanix and put workload that makes sense for public cloud on Google'... it will take people a fair number of years before they realize that public cloud makes sense for all workloads.

Nutanix is ramping up their PR to ridiculous levels in the past few days, anyone noticed that?

First their stock took a beating, went all the way down to $14 (from a high in the $30ies). Suddenly all those articles and press releases started coming out. I wonder how the quarter earnings are. They are announcing soon, no?

    Women in Tech

Looks like Nutanix decided they could not promote their own female engineers into leadership positions so they are bringing in outsiders to speak.
