This should serve as a warning to other companies - getting in a CEO will not change your company fortunes and the total cost in extra benefits (profit sharing, company car etc) far outweighs any benefits the company will make.
.. and you make it a lot worse if you do that under German labour laws, because they have some *weird* rules. I recall a casino catching someone helping themselves to some of the dosh (an idiotic thing to do, the place is replete with high end cameras running and monitored 24/7), and they couldn't sack the person because some staff board refused it.
