    Movie remake?

    I'm waiting for the Hollywood remake of Independence Day where, instead of flying out to the alien spaceship and logging into their system via RS232, our hero launches a botnet to reprogram the IoT thermostats on the alien refrigerators causing them all to die of food poisoning.

      Surely the heroes will only have to hack a captured alien's smartphone to get at the app which opens all the IoT airlock doors?
