    I like it when there are security issues in VMware Workstation/Player

    That always means they update it so it compiles automatically with the latest Linux kernel, and I don't have to visit rglinuxtech.com for a tiny patch to fix it when I update Fedora to a new kernel. Version 12.5.3 added kernel 4.9 and 4.10 support, for instance.

    Unfortunately 12.5.4 has followed too closely on the heels of 12.5.3, so we may miss out on getting kernel 4.11 support.
