A source contacted The Register with a copy of the fake invoice, which was for £200 and spoofed to appear as if it had come from the club itself. An emailed update sent to RAF …

Top-hole. Bally Jerry, pranged his kite right in the how's your father. Hairy blighter, dicky-birdied, feathered back on his Sammy, took a waspy, flipped over on his Betty Harper's and caught his can in the Bertie.

Looks like it's not just them...

Had a couple of e-mails today from places I have dealt with that have my details on record, and I've recived an e-mail claiming to be from them with an invoice that I need to download. The link in the e-mail points to Xero the online accounts folks, but the link actually re-directed to somewhere else.

Wonder who has actually been compromised....

    Bah!

I believe in this specific case the correct term is not "hacked" but "pranged".

    Love the photo

The Hurricane (always one of my personal favourites) probably throttle-to-the-firewall and the EF with its high angle of attack, every flap-n-friend extended, likely still practising slow flight at the edge of stall. :D

A bit late with this one.

Reports about this were circulating about 6-9 months ago; the RAF of course denied a leak.

Same MO, an email with an invoice attached.

    Lynx, natch.

    hundreds?

There maybe quite a few former officers but the raf is now such a small organisation (after ill advised cuts from both Cons and Labour) that I doubt there are more than a handful of serving officers...

Unless of course it is like the royal navy... 40 admirals, 260 captains, 77 ships (including Victory and some glorified inshore ribs ... 19 warships if you count the unarmed ships we class as major combatant units)
