Kind of surprised by that move

HP was Salesforce's biggest customer (at least when HP was a unified company). Well, perhaps the new PC side of the company felt the need to make nice with the PC software giant. All one big happy family, and MS Dynamics is a good CRM.

As someone lumbered with Salesforce's product

Coming soon (well in a year or so)

Microsoft buys HPE (or what little there is left of it by then)

Now his uncle is going to get a shiny new Mercedes SL.
