Scam adverts served by The Register

I understand why you need to advertise, and I intentionally don't use any kind of adblock (whilst realising that my contribution alone is irrelevent)

However, yesterday, I was presented on more than one occasion with an advert for a known scam site, which falsely advertises a 'military flashlight' for $50 ish. I'm sure that the site would be illegal under UK law. https://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en-GB&oe=utf-8&safe=images&q=g700+scam

Their claims have been universely debunked, and you can even get the more powerful version of this torch on amazon for only 4 quid! https://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=g700+led+flashlight

I realise the ad was provided by one of the third-party advertisers you use, but it is still your responsibility.

I'm interested to hear your opinion.

I'll make sure the ads team sees this. Sometimes, we'll run ads via a network. We have some control over the ads placed.
