back to article Strawberry moon tonight

Today's summer solstice - the longest day of the year - not only brings almost 17 hours of sunlight but a strawberry moon too. A strawberry moon is when a full moon coincides with a summer solstice. It is a rare event, with the last one occurring in 1967 - almost 50 years ago. ® shutterstock_225964027-pizz
