So someone in the employ of Google will be tasked with perusing great sheafs of nudie pics, and carefully considering the pros and cons before passing judgement? How does one go about getting that job?
So the warning, "You're about to access adult content... you sure?" ... is no longer good enough apparently. They specifically want to make you have an account, so that they know what you're subscribed to! Ha! Damn good job I'm off their shitty service then, isn't it!
And this is the company that runs so much of the internet? I wonder how many porn advertising dollars will flee ... come to think of it, I wonder how many porn advertising dollars they had in the first place?
I feared for a moment that racist, xenophobic, antisemitic, misogynist, homophobic or religiously zealotic blogs could also be restricted.
Pictures of a nude breast or of a penis are well known to pose much bigger threats to Society, thanks Google to take care of our sexual morality!
In America it is the Satanic "nipple" (female) that brings all to a halt. Observe how it was a nipple-slip that imploded an entire Super Bowl half-time extravaganza; videos and breathless reports of which reverberated from shore to shining shore long afterwards.
An acquaintance who is a literary sort maintains a personal blog on Google's service. Last evening she received a stern missive warning that her site was deemed proscribed under the new policy. She has no graphics, no videos: only text stories of an adult nature.
No actual human corporate entity perused her literary works; rather, it was the Google-bot that detected her "Warning--Adult Content" label on her welcome page to warn that kidlets and fundamentalist zealots might find content inappropriate for their undeveloped minds.

Does this mean all the porn blogs will now have questionnaires at the bottom of the page where you can answer questions about how the content made you feel.
Of course all this data is going to be recorded for the paper being written on the short term effects of internet porn. Is that scientific research?
The title of this article is misleading. Google is censoring far more than just pornography. British Naturism is receiving reports of naturist blogs being told to shut down. (Going private defeats the object). It is another example of USA big business imposing their prudery on the UK. Freedom of speech is worthless if the means of expression is denied.
