    No influence?

    If people have to start paying for a SLES license for every VMware based appliance they own, you can bet your ass it's going to have a negative impact. They will be literally the *ONLY* vendor in existence who requires you to pay a third party for licensing fees for their virtual appliance.

    The guy who claimed they won't experience any backlash must have also been their go-to on the vRam decision.

      Perhaps you misread the article, this has nothing to do with vmware's own appliances/etc that use SuSE. This is a program that allowed customers to use SuSE for general purpose stuff(e.g. install via ISO image and get a regular linux install)
