    VVOL support?

    Nothing like a paid report to get a good review :)

    Anyhow, it certainly seems to address many management issues that VMware has today but as VMware will be introducing Virtual Volumes (VVOLs) which is designed to abstract provisioning, replication, snapshot etc to make it easier for VMware to manage the storage, I dont really see how well this will play in the future.

      Agree, with dedupe and flash caches becoming more common, once VVols come on stream their whole value prop disappears with a good chance of their funding following.

    Tintri is simple because it's a preconfigured appliance that only really supports VMware. There are no real storage related options to configure. Single NFS mount point, single datastore, If it works it's fast and simple, if it doesn't or you switch hypervisor, well then you have to bin it.

    Anyone can be simple without any options.
