    Unprofessional job adverts

Saw this advert in Aussie and the wording looked at odds with the importance of the job (and the job reference of "YOUnix_dude_JD" sounds like it was written by a 12 year old).

Anyone else seen cringe-worthy job adverts?

Recently? Most of them, actually, over the last five years.

The current HR bods are firmly embedded in the iFad Generation.

agreed. So many adds want 3+ skill sets with multiple certifications. Which means they get mendacious applicants or worse, those are are really good at getting certifications, but useless at real work. Most of the clued stay away from such adds. Asked a pimp about this once and was told most employers dont have a clue, the pimp agencies know the adds are rubbish, but customer is always right as they are paying for it.

Best I saw was a job advert for a marketing manager and system manager. The job spec was written as if to do the job you either had to be two people (one with marketing quals, one with sysadmin experience) or that the firm had their perfect candidate internally but still had to advertise.

"Should preferably have experience of operating a computer."

    And that was about it.
